Justice League

Doubt I see this in theaters. I’m taking my oldest son to a movie soon and he chose Thor over this. Plus my better half is a big DC fan and she will kill me if I saw this without her...

hmm, some of the opinions i am hearing are confirming my fears

lame villain, faceless armies, forced jokes, no substance, no continuity in character personalities

i will eventually see it, does it even have a epic batman moment i wonder. DC need to go back to solo movies, things like the interrogation scene between batman and joker, the fight in the tunnels between bane and batman will always be more impactful than 4 superheroes fighting a faceless army to "save the world" while making quips.

It does work for Marvel because they built their characters slowly through individual movies with hints of a universe and then they continued making good solo movies with small team ups

Steppenwolf sucked. Cool character model, but boring as hell otherwise. The "plot" is absolutely meaningless. Batman was completely out of his element and didn't fit into the world, at all. He was far more at home in BvS. The comedy was a bit forced. Sometimes it was eye roll worthy, but it's not too too bad.

No epic Batman moment.

It was amazing, Snyder is 3 for 3 in the DCEU, hope he comes back for JL2. Really want a Man of Steel 2 as well.

What was amazing about it? I’m hearing otherwise from a couple friends that saw it that actually liked MoS and thought BvS was good for the most part.

I dont get it man. Superman shows up to save Metropolis, but when Loki was opening a wormhole above New York with giant flying leviathans hes nowhere to be seen.

You would think the biggest city in the world would take favour for a superhero with such staunch values.

Enjoyed it but annoyed they cut so much (at least 7 cut scenes have leaked online) and you can tell which scenes JW came in and added the usual style of jokes which are hit sand miss.

Would love to see the Zach Snyder cut

This movie made me cringe almost the entire time. The CGI was KILLING me in this movie... especially a certain actors face.

That same certain actor that everyone knows..got the best scene in the movie, and his character in a couple of minutes was FAR more intimidating than Steppenwolf.

Batman was turned into a joke. I didn't agree with the killing in the last movie..but at least he was a badass.

Almost forgot about Exposition Burgler at the beginning..dear God.

And why with near every Flash joke..his line delivery seemed like he was allowing for laughter interruption by the studio audience?!

Wonder Woman's opening scene was fantastic. Every scene with the Flash was excellent. Decent intro to Aquaman (definitely need to see more of him in his element). Cyborg was way way way better than I expected. Batman like a cartoon character. <REDACTED> was shoehorned in. Steppenwolf was a badass but meh at the same time. That crazy scene with all of the easter eggs was incredible.

Overall, I enjoyed it, but it does certainly feel like part one of a two-part series.

I agree completely.

So about 7 Cyborg scenes got cut

Massive chunk of Atlantis got cut including Dafoes scenes

Barry saving Iris from a car crash was cut

Steppenwolf got toned down

so i guess everyones gonna have to buy the directors cut to see the full/coherent movie  i am not supporting this s***

I almost feel something for Joss Whedon...who was in an impossible situation. Either the movie was good, and Synder gets the credit, or the movie didn't meet expectations...and Whedon gets all the blame.

The guy was forced to recut and "save" a supposed blockbuster movie in like...six months?!

There can't be any way they had watched a Snyder version and liked it..then decided to blow millions on reshoots for no reason.

Is that what the reshoots were for? It was a disaster and Whedon tried to save it?

They wanted more comedy and under 20hrs
That's the rumor...how much truth there is to it...who knows?

It's very possible Snyder already had that same mandate and then delivered something on the other end of the spectrum.

Maybe he tried to give them what they wanted...and sucked. It's not like WB is going to really admit any of this up front. Either way the studio would look bad.

Possible that some journalist digs up some sources and then we find out...I hope so. I'm more interested in the story of what really happened.

It's cynical but I almost believe that the studio used tragedy to get what they thought they needed in the end... without blame for replacing Zack.

The less than 2hrs demand is known to be true.

Pretty much every superman scene was part of the reshoots and you can tell which other scenes were usually by the green screen background.

It's also what ruined the Hela scene in the field in Thor due to the crap background. These last minute changes don't help.

Oh I agree with you..it's just that it seems people are assuming that what was replaced was great...and not removed because it tested even worse than what was released.
