Justice League

Changes got made late on

Now it makes sense then. His CGI was SOOO terrible. Yes, the script was cheesy, but I thought Steppenwolf was the worst part of the movie, for me. I was wondering why they didn't just use an actor in prosthetics, at any point. I kept thinking of how much infinitely cooler Tim Curry looked in Legend... and that was the '80s, man!

Some clips on youtube show a big moment in the movie (one which we all knew was coming) and man is that green screen work awful, nothing blends in properly with the background and the complaints about the villain are totally justified, he does look like a video game character. That doesn't mean it's a bad movie, I haven't seen it yet but they need to step up their game in the visual department.

I'm betting much of it was re-worked and done last minute. So much of the CGI just doesn't look done.

All superman scenes were reshoots right near the end of production

In other DC news Shazam has been given a April 5, 2019 release date.

Mark Strong set to play the bad guy

Best buy exclusive edition has the one deleted scene that will be in the home release

And it appears to be...

This is beyond idiotic. That Steppenwolf from before is even worse. They are trying to defend Snyder, who happened to make sh!t movie after sh!t movie. Yeah, he looked terrible in the end, but mostly because they were trying to make it better than that dumb metal look before. I am sure that the reports of the movie being unwatchable are likely true. They should have fired him sooner, imo. How on earth did they give Snyder the keys to the DC kingdom in the first place? The 300? That was one movie. Watchmen? I don't know. Most of his work is really not that good. He's got such a narrow vision, imo. That vision doesn't really seem fit for the DCU, imo. Damn, why didn't they get a Kevin Feige type guy first? The DCU is royally F-ed right now. I feel sorry for Jenkins, who had a great project, born into a sh!t sandwich of a universe.

It needed to be done, even though I think people bash BvS and JL far too much they still could have been much better movies.

It should never have got to that point. It seems obvious not to give him another movie after BvS.

Justice league was ready for filming when BvS came out. WB need to just back off and let people work like they did with TDK trilogy, MoS and WW.

And extended cut of BvS is the only version that should have been released.

His track record is quite bad

I disagree. They should have stepped in sooner...like given him an ultimatum to either fix BvS or give him the boot back then. I also blame WB for not starting with a proper Batman first. Having a new Batman show up in BvS was a terrible idea! Maybe it would have been better as a Batman movie with a Superman cameo. Also, Snyder's villains are the worst villains of any superhero movies of at least the last decade. I can't believe that Snyder has any fans, at this point. His directing style... It's just a bunch of disjointed "moments", which don't feel connected from scene to scene. Every time that a new Marvel Studios movie comes out, I'm reminded just how bad DCEU has fared. Yeah, this is WB's fault, but they put Snyder in charge after a shaky start with MoS. That whole idea was pretty dumb.

Granted, I actually thought Justice League was OK... In fact, I think all of Snyder's movies are OK. That's kind of the problem. DC deserves better than OK.

Zod was great as was Faora.

They stated lex off as one of the original comic versions with the plans always in place to make him more and more like the one movie fans know.

I do agree that MoSII and Batman should have come first. BvS should have been 6 or 7 movies into the franchise.

JL could have been kept for a couple more years after everyone had a stand alone film.

I just want to add that Wonder Woman and Black Panther are proof that you don't need to have a stand alone film before the grouped ones. It's not true for all characters, but not every character needs an entire film for exposition. In my opinion, Batman did not need another standalone film, but a second Superman film prior to BvS would have been welcomed.

This. Much better than Marvel villains, I hear the villain in Black Panther is great. I sure hope so, Keaton in Homecoming was pretty good as well.

Zod was good but the rest have all been pretty bad

Jeff Bridges, Loki, and Michael Keaton>Zod though
