So I got the Killer is Dead game, which I think was from the same folks who made that Killer 7 game for the gamecube. It's alright overall. Biggest stength and weakness is the weirdness for me. It both draws me in while pushes me back a bit. The positives are in the over the top scenarios, action, gore, and characters, but the drawback is in the scenarios, action, gore, and characters.

Positives
+ Cool look and heavily stylized
+ Unique and original
+ Nice level of difficulty that keeps me coming back
+ Game makes me laigh
+ Looks to be quite a bit of content. Tons of variety, upgrades, side missions, etc.
+ Fun boss fights.

Negatives
- The dialogue can be pretty lame. Very cliche avante garde anime.
- Combat actually feels a bit clunky here and there
- One of the characters, Mika I think her name is. Simply stupid. It's supposed to be some kind of cool Japanese teenager or something, but it comes across as annoying and lame to me.
- The stylized look really bleeds hard into everything. It's a bit hard to judge enemy movements when those enemies are dark as s*** and the background is also dark as s***.

Overall, game seems fun so far. I've only played a third of it, but I'm enjoying it. Got myself a collector's edition so I got some DLC stuff (costumes, glasses for a mini-game, extra levels), soundtrack, and a art book. Sweet package for $40 in my opinion. I'll post more impressions as I go along, but if you're a fan of Grasshopper (I believe they developed this and games that tend to be heavy on the weird, then you might enjoy this one.

Yeah I might get this eventually, I loved the No More Heroes games on the Wii.

I got the Collector's Edition for $40 straight from gamestop. Not sure how much it costs in your neck of the woods, but you get a good chunk of content with it all.

Really digging the game. Especially now that I'm improving my character. Last couple of levels have been real fun as well. Game definitely gets better as it goes along. I did notice some slowdown in the framerate here and there. It's likely a glitch involving a part of the game where I have to search for hidden ninjas. It just slowed down when I was just walking around. I figured it was because of the current mission because the game has had a solid framerate. I don't count them, but anybody can notice a serious dip. Haven't seen it since then so I presume it was just random. Otherwise, as I said, game keeps getting better and better.

is it worth it for 20 the collectors edition with all the goodies is 20 at game stop for PS3, I played Lollipop Chainsaw and loved it would I like this game I never played it before.

If you like wonky Japanese games then buy it up. These games are not for everyone but if you enjoyed Lollipop Chainsaw imagine you will like this.

I thought I knew this game but judging by the cover art I'm thinking of something different. Well it's on my wishlist so if I ever find time for it I may take a look.

Picked it up for 13 bucks this week during the holiday sale on live. when I will have time to play it I've no idea.

When i read this tital i was thinking to myself the weirdest game i ever played in my life was killer 7. I had no idea killer is dead was made by the same company and i didn't even know this game existed.

If it is made by the same company then i believe you. Killer 7 was weird as f*ck.

Finally beat it. Overall? Good game. Really dug playing. Still hate the storyline though. It just wasn't my cup of tea. Last I checked on my Raptr, I've put in about 35 hrs towards this game. A bit of grinding involved to max out the stats, but I almost always do that. Would love to see a boss rush mode of some kind.

Suda 51 makes some weird games. Most of them are enjoyable in some way or another, but they never end up being huge commercial successes. But some of them end up with cult followings, like No More Heroes.

It's a solid game, but I wish they beta tested that storyline a bit first. It really could've made this game so much better. That said, I'm still playing after beating it. I kinda want to start something else, but I'm also still hooked on the gameplay and want to beat it. So much backlog, but so many achievements and unlockables left.
