My old timer Kody and his new little sister Heidi.

And the cute little s*** alone. She's Husky and German Shepherd as well but I don't think she's half and half like Kody is.

Put his bowl on a stand.

Thought about it, she's kind of clumsy and knocks her food bowl over, well not as much as she used to but sometime she still gets a bit excited for her food lol. My older dog kody did the same thing (laid down to eat) as a puppy and he still does.

There are metal stands that the bow recesses in and it can't really be knocked over. The lazy eating is something you may want to avoid. Bloat is a concern. The research leans that lazy eating for bigger breeds can cause GI problems.

Yeah I have read that before too, I've read articles that say that standing and eating from a raised bowl helps to prevent it and others saying that it makes no difference or can actually cause it, they don't seem to really know for sure. I know a lot of issues with bloat are said to be caused by too much air, or water and dry food combining in the stomach. From what I've read the best thing to do is not feed them too close to a time when they were very active or when they've had too much water, also better to feed two smaller meals to a grown dog than one large one. Kody doesn't really eat kibble anymore, mostly boiled chicken and some supplements so I think he's probably alright in that area but Heidi is young and does eat kibble so I probably will get her one of those stands. Thanks for the advice :)

Heidi is growing fast, she was 11lbs when we got her on July 2nd and as of today she's already up to 25lbs. I think most of the weight is in her ears lol.

She was the same size as that ugly toy when we got her seven weeks ago, that's the only bad thing about dogs IMO, their lives are in fast forward from day one.

Dag in the back is all like, "Sure, no more picture of me. Only pictures of that b****."

Haha pretty much, he's actually funny with her. There are times he just growls at her when she walks in the room and then two minutes later they are playing. I know they have their own way of communicating but it just seems like he hates her one second and loves her the next. The jealousy is the best part though, you pet one and the other has to run up and try to get between it.

IT's crazy how fast puppies grow. We've had Heidi two months today, she has pretty much tripled in weight (she's now 30lbs) and has gotten so much more personality.
