While I really like what he's done, I loved Man of Steel, and I loved the tone, I'm not sure how I feel about this part of the story..... I don't want something more colorful.
Vaughn has always had a more colorful and exciting tone to his comic films, which is what fans are hoping for in the Man of Steel sequel.

Cavill is good, MoS was good, BvS was okay, justice league was okay, but 95% of JL had fake upper lip superman...95... percent. Also not sure if cavill got smaller or they made him much, much smaller with CG? He looks thin as hell wtf? In BvS he was huge, just look at the scene when he enters the courtroom, real superman body right there. If they reboot him I'm giving up on them turning this around, even saw ign saying there's talk about having the ebony bad guy from black panther doing superman...wtf is wrong with wb?
He was fine as superman but awful as Clark IMO and to be a truly great Superman you need to nail both parts. He's just a guy who filled out the suit nicely IMO.
It sounds like this is all just part of an ongoing negotiation between he, his team and WB, he wants A list money and treatment and he's nowhere near that level. Plus some are saying he's a bit hard to work with behind the scenes (that's been going around for a while) so that doesn't work in his favor.

If Cavill does leave (is Affleck coming back?) then they should just start over with their DCU movie verse and try to do it the right way. I don’t mind the darker tone I just wish they would to take the Marvel approach and have the stand alone films build up these characters plus have some kind of connection to a bigger story line that leads into team up movies.
What they have planned is a bit confusing when you have stand alone movies with characters you already did in your main movies, but now with different actors and no connection to the main films. As much as I like some of their films the way they have handled all this is a clusterf***.

Funny thing about all this is the sites coming out with countless articles acting like his 100% gone all for those cheap clicks

They should just finish up whatever they're working on then reboot the DCEU with an actual plan. Find their Feige first then go from there. Its just so uneven at this point and they're making it all more confusing adding a new Joker in the Joker movie and they can't even get the Flash movie off the ground. Then they stopped DC TV again from using Deathstoke because they were going to do a dark justice league or something at one point, which is really irritating as Manu Bennet has been so good in the TV role. I've enjoyed all the movies, excluding suicide squad, and will miss some of the actors in the roles but it needs reboot if they want to keep the movies connected.
Yep, they've just destroyed too many key points of the universe. You can't screw up Batman and Joker and expect your universe to work.
As crazy as it sounds, find a young Batman and Joker and just restart the whole thing. A few decent solo movies aren't going to salvage the utter chaos they've created. Everyone will gripe and groan at a new Batman and Joker, but guess what? If it looks halfway decent they'll go see it.
