I got to that as well. It's a great starter one to get alright. Some of the caches on Eos I'm not able to jump up to though. Did you manage to get them all?
I can get to them all, but haven't got them all, yet

There is one up on a rock platform that I can drive to but I have no idea how to jump up to it.

Also, what do you have to do to be able to go into the higher radiation zones ?

As far as I can tell you just have to wait and the hazard zones will clear, which opens up new areas, missions, etc.

Getting more and more like a ME game the more I play after a slow start.

Cora reminds me of Jack a bit and is so far my favourite squad mate...

Natalie Dormer turned me down

Her fanboy obsession with the Asari drove me round the bend personally. She can't go two seconds without mentioning something about them.

Anyway, the deeper you get into this game the better it gets, Eos really is the worst planet I've been on so far and it's not exactly awful anyway. There's one place in particular with some lower than usual gravity where I'd recommend taking Drack. He loves a good bit of airtime in the Nomad.

I probably should have waited.....but I couldn't resist anymore. Picked up the PC version @ $43.99 on GMG.

I'm a huge Mass Effect fanboy (as you guys know by my comic I did a while back) so I could no longer put this off.
I hope I'm not completely disappointed. Animations aside.

I ignored the crap and glad I did. After an hour the game really opened up and I'm having a blast. As far as facial animation, it just seems to be the humans and I spend more time talking to aliens anyway.

I don't think you will be.

I am 40 hours in and have barely scratched surface. Not sure how reviewers can play a mere 70 hours and think that is enough.

I thought i was so clever. Nope.

You are not alone. I got on top of a building on Eos thinking a fiend wouldn't get me, but it ended up behind me and ate me

Holy crap, I lost it at the scene with the alien lady in the chair! XD

geez, that pretty bad. Some of that IS Frostbite, as similar bugs show up in Battlefield, just not as frequently.

Damn, Q/A must have been a room full of monkeys staring at a wall, lol... It doesn't look like there is any emotional resonance at all.

I have the game placed in my backlog pile. Love it or hate it, these videos are still hilarious. I'm hoping for zero patches; keep ME4 weird.

The loyalty missions is where its at in this game. Those are done pretty well.

Finished the game. Did all of the loyalty/squad missions, got all of the worlds to 100% viability and did most of the planetary quests.

Final thoughts( Maybe Spoilers):

Its a decent game. The first couple of hours are rough but once you get past that, it opens up a bit. The combat is much improved but I personally miss the power wheel. The character interactions between your crew are really good. More than one time I caught myself grinning from ear to ear or literally laughing out loud. I especially like the back and forth between PeeBee and Cora. Or PeeBee and Drack. And don't let Bioware fool you, with "Andromeda is not the start of a new trilogy". It most definitely is. The game leaves too many loose threads unanswered to be a one off.

As for the bad, the game is quite glitchy/buggy. There are a few game restarting ones. This is especially irritating when doing a story mission and you run into a problem and have to load an old autosave because you can't manually save in missions. The animations are what they are, so no need to continue that debate, but I ran into a few more really awkward ones and clipping in scenes. The main story is nothing to write home about. In fact, they borrow alot of similar themes from the original trilogy and re-purpose them. It honestly felt like I was story-wise replaying a mix of ME 1 and 2.

In the end though, Bioware did enough to make me curious for the next game in the Ryder saga. And while I earlier said the game could have used another few months in development, I still stand by that, and will go a bit further and say it could have used another year. But it is playable and enjoyable for the most part. However in the times we live in where games are released unfinished and patched to completion as time goes on, Mass effect Andromeda isn't one of the most egregious offenders.

Again, I'll reiterate that the game is not terrible. I'll even argue its a good middle of the road game. But technical issues, questionable game play choices ( overabundance of pointless fetch quests a la Dragon Age Inquisition) and an middling story are what ultimately leave this game feeling average to me.

I am about half way through Planet 4, done all missions except for two on Eos, and I have only come across 1 game restarting bug. Are all your issues clustered on the last planet/final stages of the story?

Unfortunately no. There were more than usual problems on the run to the final boss but alot of issues I was hitting were in the loyalty missions and side quests. I don't want to go into specifics due to heavy spoilers.

Ahh ok.

I have not done a single loyalty mission yet.

Not a spoiler, but loyalty missions can still be completed after you've finished the main storyline. I did all of mine well before the final story mission just to add to the narrative and for the special interactions in the epilogue.

All mine seem to be on hold until the character does something.

I'll wait for the game when it comes to EA Access in 2018. By that time, it should be patched a few times and perhaps get a Scorpio update.

Those videos make the game look worse than it is, since no gamer is going to experience every one of those glitches at once. But let's face it, it sure has some shoddy QA, animations and facial textures and animations that is arguably worse than the 360 games.

Those 360 games may have had huge loading times, frame rate issues and pop in textures, but I don't remember them having so many weird glitches or off-kilter facial art.

I can understand an NPC in any game being given zero time to make realistic, but when the main character looks lousy, I don't get how EA could green light it all the way in it's 5 year development.

Is it me, or the male shepard is abit on the short side. Everyone is towering over him

Anyway, which I am warming up to the game, & like the more open environment, why, Bioware, that you hav to remove core features, like control over teammates & not able to even gear them.

Also why remove abilty to pause combat to issue command. Also stupid autosave. I missed something on a mission, & can't return to redo as it autosave the game later, & the last manual save was over an hour ago Seriously!!! why remove a perfect save system in previous game? why

I save constantly in every game I play. The sequence of button/key presses to get to and out of the save menu are muscle memory for me.

Press start, thumbstick up, A, thumbstick up (to select and save on the oldest of several incremental saves) A, A, B, done.
I may have a condition.
