Wow. PC/ps4 and... PSVR confirmed for now. Imagine flying around like that in VR!

You play as a super being protecting Earth(and other planets?) against these alien invaders. The scale is unlike anything I've ever seen. You can actually fly to different galaxies.

Actual gameplay.

Morphers:

As you can see, in this game very often the biggest menace for the humans is yourself. Each new super power you get has a dark side you must avoid. Your basic shot destroys entire buildings every time you miss your target. Your telekinesis can prevent enemy grenades from damaging the humans, but it can also throw vehicles down the street. The gigaton blast can destroy an enemy mothership… or the entire city. And you don’t want to do the aliens’ job:

On top of that, PS4 Pro owners can look forward to enjoying the enormous landscapes in full 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160. And no matter the way you play (2D, PS VR, Pro, Pro + PS VR) the frame rate will be of silky smooth 60 FPS.

I got my eye on this one. Makes me also want a Godzilla VR game where you play as that venerable fire-spitting lizard and stomp down people, cars, and buildings.

Eagle Flight has a unique way of doing high speed flying with no nausea for me, I wonder if that will be implemented here.

Game is out on PS4/PSVR, coming to PC later.

One of my favorite reviewers gave it a glowing score. I can't wait to try it. The music and scale is fvcking great.

Unfortunately, I'd never be able to play it.

Why?

I played about an hour and had to stop. It's sensory overload in VR. Literally going from a standstill to the speed of light(after upgrades)in seconds is crazy.

I literally just flew out of our galaxy and the scale made my head hurt trying to comprehend it. I was flying past skyscrapers going over 20k miles at hour id guess. It's like superman in the movies.

I should stick to 30-45min intervals. The gameplay is pretty damn fun actually. There are lots of alien types and the music/effects are great.

I just have very sensitive reactions to VR games. Some I can play for 15-20 minutes. I think I know why. It's because the camera picks up slight body movements and exaggerates that in games.

It's playable without VR

I like this review from gamespot even though its only a 7/10(not bad from them)

Watching aliens crumble into a million pieces, stare in horror as a city gets eclipsed in a nuclear blast, watching a mothership collapse under fire, drilling into the Earth to stop a bomb from going off--all of these are the stuff of childhood dreams. To play Megaton Rainfall is to inhabit a flying superhero like nothing else in VR.

Positives

Spectacular sense of scale
Sense of speed and power feels incredible
Environmental effects are extremely well executed

I'll respond to the negatives:

1)Textures are a bit spare
2)Inability to lock onto fast-moving targets can be frustrating
3)Movement can occasionally feel too slippery for its own good

1)Textures I agree with, but its literally the fastest moving game EVER created, possibly more scale than No Mans Sky

2) Seriously, git good. The game is not hard without it. Not sure if you want your gamer card pulled or not. NES kids would plow through this game drunk.

3) You're playing as a god. Literally watch how fast you accelerate, slowing down takes time.
