Microsoft At E3 2018

When was this last time?

Couple of years ago, not exactly sure which year but I remember them saying it was going to be something different and we got a ton of celebrity videos mixed in with the conference, it was a bad idea.

My hope/wish for Xbox would be to add indie games to Game Pass and allow F2P games (ie Fortnite, Smite, World of Tanks, etc) online play.

Those World of Tanks guys have been begging for free tier XBL for F2P games since the 360 days.

That'd be a smart announcement to make coming up before E3 with all of these F2P games seemingly coming into focus more on consoles.

E3 2018: Microsoft Readies Biggest E3 Showing Ever
March 14th 2018, 6:05 AM PT

Since Xbox made its first appearance at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in 2000, Xbox has had a major presence at the show, delivering exclusive and powerful ways to let fans in on what we’re up to, and 2018 will be no different. In fact, it will be our biggest showing ever.

With the evolution of E3, now including fans and extended show hours, we saw an opportunity to create an entirely new show experience reaching E3 attendees and those that are following the show from afar. With that, in collaboration with the Entertainment Software Association, the organizers of E3, we’re excited to announce that Xbox will be taking over the Microsoft Theater, a perfectly situated space located in the heart of L.A. Live and across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC).

The Microsoft Theater will be home to official E3 events like the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing on June 10, 2018 at 1PM PT, various Xbox FanFest activities, hands-on gameplay and demos for all E3 attendees and more. Not only does the Microsoft Theater allow us to centralize our Xbox presence at E3, but it’s size enables us to include even more fans and partners in the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing than ever before.

In addition to the Microsoft Theater, we’ll also continue to have a meaningful presence at the LACC with a new booth completely dedicated to Mixer, where you can play, stream and interact with games and catch the latest E3 news live throughout the entire week.

These changes – expanding our presence, multiple venues, taking over the Microsoft Theater – give us the opportunity to bring together a variety of Xbox experiences into one primary location and, most importantly, let fans in on what we’re up to in 2018 and beyond in a fresh new way.

So mark your calendars for the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing for June 10, 2018 at 1PM PT to kick off the week of E3 with us. We’re excited and will have plenty more to share on our E3 2018 plans soon. Stay tuned to Xbox Wire for an update in April.

So Sony has a big "booth", and MS decided to go with an entire BUILDING.

Holy s***.

Thats where 'The Game Awards' takes place each year. Awesome. Damn I wish I was going.

They have to be bringing the big guns and a lot of them because everything is coming out before E3 that’s known.

Fast travel microtransactions?

No, he'd never use pay to win. He's a better man than that. Now, he'd definitely charge for the fart emote, and then make it possible to pay extra to have the fast travel be a hyper-boosted fart, perhaps with chickens flying out.

They got a whole building, lol. Way to to stick it to the haters talking about floor space. Hand down man down! Microsoft gonna do work at E3. They have to. It's their time. First E3 after the release of the Xbox One X. The grass is looking greener on the other side.

Very flimsy current rumor:

MS buying Sega. Possible E3 announce if true.

Very iffy on the ‘source’. Feel free to discuss, but I’m doubtful.

Doubtful, but would be more realistic than EA being bought.

Also, DAMN! Microsoft has an entire building! s*** must be going down especially if they are throwing around that kind of cash.

If it was true I wonder if they’ll keep games like Bayonetta 1-3 exclusive to the Switch and release like some Collectors edition of the three on one disc like that with MCC.

I could see them hitting Sony with a year wait on multiplat games like Sonic and Persona, releasing them on Xbox, Switch and Pc first...maybe with crossplay.

Dude imagine Cortona in SSM? :p

*handshakes* omg I think I’m turning into tdbloke :p

I don't think that MS would announce that they acquired a billion dollar company at a games presentation. That would be more of a public announcement that concerns shareholders.

Sega Dreamcast catalogue for X1. Boom.

Would only really make sense if they want their back catalog of games. Doubt they care much about the corpse of Sonic or their games that are popular in Japan like Persona or Yakuza.

Even if it were true, would it be good for MS? And holy s*** the PS fans would have heart attacks. Might not be a good purchase unless MS continues to publish games for the PS.
