Middle-Earth Shadow Of Mordor Discussion

Really like what I'm seeing of this game so far. Hopefully it lives up to the potential.

Looking better :)

There is some nice animation going on there, and I'd almost buy the game because of that cape, lol. Very nice cloth sim.

Looks great, the diving animation looks straight out of Assassin's Creed (totally lends credence to that Ubisoft animator's allegation). Not that I'm complaining.

game looks great. hope they have a demo the models are pretty damn detailed. Looks like pure and simple fun.

I'm starting to buy into the hype. I kinda want this.

I think it looks like it could be good. Notice could is italicized. I have a feeling it probably won't be.

Just got around to watching this. I think this game looks awesome. The combat looks fast, fluid and more importantly, varied. I love the idea of taking control control of war cheifs and using them to your advantage. Love the nemesis system and how previous interactions shapes these usually generic NPC's.

I think this could be one of the best games of the year.

Yep. The Nemesis system looks like a great concept. Even the way the characters appearance change based on previous wounds. The Orc who was burned by fire had half his face scared and now had a fear of fire. That's pretty cool. This is another day one for me.

Yep, that is cool. I also love how when they kill you time does not stop. So when you meet them again, they can be promoted or more powerful.

Yeah... there's something innovative right there.

I've got my eye on this game. Not interested enough to pre-order on deal, but may bite if good. Other games I feel the same way are Dying Light, Evolve and Destiny.

Am still loving this game as well, I'm getting this for sure and Dragon Age (same release date) will be a rental (though i was never totally sure about that one as I never got the earlier ones). One thing that kinda has me worried is there is a very busy HUD going on. I really like minimalist HUDs and this one is getting constant updates and info flashing all over it... but thats not at all a dealbreaker...

Gotta say this is probably the most interesting game of E3 other than No Man's Sky. Hope it doesn't get delayed.

Ok, so I saw a demo for this for the first time yesterday on one of the IGN E3 videos and I have to say I was very wrong about what this game was. I thought this was just a typical RPG set in the LOTR universe. Seems to me like this is a very different and unique type of game. The Nemesis system seems really cool and could make all playthroughs very different from one another. This game has gained a spot on my "to look out for" list.

You are not alone. When it first got announced I just wrote it off and paid it no mind. Once it started getting explained, and videos started releasing, it did not take long for me to reverse my opinion on it. What I love most about it is that the features actually work. In most games they would have a system like the Nemesis feature, but it would be so passive and unnoticeable to the point it becomes irrelevant.

What is a shame though, is this game does not seem to be getting any major traction with gamers. It is not getting the hype like lesser(IMO)games are, and seems to be getting overshadowed.

Yeah, I agree, it seems no one is really talking about this game at all. Of course, it's not doing itself any favors by releasing on the same day as DA:I.

True, but that generally does not stop interested folk from talking about it.

I agree, people are over looking it like its a witcher 3 clone wiht LoTR paint. Not at all, I'd say more interesting and unique than W3 by a long shot actually.

For all the complaining about games being delayed there are still going to be a ton of quality titles to play this fall, this game looks really cool.
