New PlayStation handheld PS VITA 2 rumour

I thought they'd pretty much given up on that market. I'd be surprised to see them take another stab at it.
 
If true it just shows Sony gives zero f*cks. People keep saying they're one wrong move away from leaving the business. Seems like that couldn't be further from the truth.
 
No way it'll compete with NX, imo. Nintendo has the not-phone-portable-game-market cornered. It would be a very bad move, I think.
 
Maybe they figure it's too big of a market to just surrender completely. They're a Japanese company, after all, and handhelds are a way of life over there.
 
If they do announce a Vita successor, I hope they keep the crossbuy promo alive where it makes sense. Indies and whatnot.
