I picked it up for 8 bucks during a recent flash sale, and I still haven't played it. I only played the original on PS3 for a few hours. I should probably give it another shot.

I want to play it bad, but I'm afraid I'd get bored with it. Is it more like GTA, which I'm not fond of, or, is it more like Tomb Raider which I enjoyed?

You could share play mine if you want.

Are you talking about The Last of Us? No offense, everyone has their own preference but if you get bored of a game like TLoU i think you're in the wrong hobby. Such a good game.

I didn't have a chance to get bored with it. I've restarted it twice now and by the time I get to those guys with the tentacle heads I am so worn out from dying so much that I don't have the will (or apparently the ability) to move forward. I heard the game gets easier later on but damn it's eaten my lunch early on. Yes, I am embarassed by it all. Never had a game that so many talk positively give me such a nightmare. TLOU is my Achilles Heel of gaming.

I have bought the game twice, and I STILL haven't finished it. :(

Keep trying. You can't let that stop you from playing through a top 10 best game of all time. You can do it.

Lol. I'm doing my first ever play-through of TLOU on hard, and it's not too difficult. Died a lot in a couple spots, but I'm at the University now.

I am having trouble going through on the easiest setting :(

Sorry to hear that, lol. You have to be sneaky (my default playstyle anyway). There is definitely a deficit in pickups, as I notice a lot of empty drawers, but the tension is worth it. I'm getting toward the end (I think), and I've got Joel and his weapons pretty upgraded. I made sure my bow was maxed out first. I can clean up with it now. Great game, and the pucker is real. Of course, you restart form checkpoints pretty quickly so dying isn't really that bad.

Alright, shopping for games...

Wtf is the point of the Bloodborne Complete Edition?

I'm looking to buy the game/dlc and the complete edition comes with the base game and DLC for $50... but you can buy both of those at standard prices for $20 each, physical and digital at stock non-sale price.

Is there any reason at all to buy the complete edition? I feel like I'm missing something here.

Oh I highly recommend the Seagate Firecuda SSHD 2TB drive since the Pro supports Sata 3.
What display are you running?

Samsung KS9000.

I totally forgot you could swap HDD's easily, so that'll come in handy when the time comes.

I bought a PS Pro during the holidays. It's my first PlayStation since the original. I got sucked in because it was on sale and I've been wanting a good baseball game. There hasn't been one on Xbox since MVP 2005.

Despite owning it since the holidays, didn't start playing games on it until 2 weeks ago. Started with Bloodbourne. Dark Souls 3 was my favorite campaign on Xbox. Problem is I don't think I can enjoy a Soulsbourne game without paddles on my controller. May have to try remapping controls but right now Bloodbourne made me miss the Elite controller badly.

Playing Horizon. About 3/4ths through. Actually looking forward most to catching up on Sony's older franchises. Last of Us and Ratchet remake are lined up next.

wow you skipped over 2 PS generations neat so I bet it was like night and day from PS1 to PS4 Pro. I owned all generations at least once so it was a gradual transition to me.

Yeah at some point during PS1 and N64 era, I joined the PC master race. I wasn't interested in PS2 because at that time, PC shooters weren't very good on the system. Then OG Xbox brought me back to console gaming. Xbox has been my primary console since. Truth be told, if MS had a good MLB game, I'd be happy with one system. I struggle to keep up on good multiplats, never mind the exclusives. Now that I own the PS Pro, I'll look to get my money's worth until Scorpio launches.

Went and grabbed the Uncharted 4 Slim Bundle today. Total was a little under $150. With prime day ($70 off) and some gift cards ($100), I figured it was too good to pass up.

I haven't seen what a slim looks like in real life. I hope you enjoy your new console!

Yeah, that's a good deal. Hope you enjoy it.

Finally picked up a Slim yesterday....couldn't pass up the Prime deal with UC4 and TLOU. Any other suggestions?
After those I'm going for Horizon.
Is there a GOW remastered compilation?

God of War 3 was remastered, not sure if it's still on sale but it was only like $3.99 a week or two ago.

Not sure if you are into racers, but DriveClub can probably be found on the CHEAP now. Not sure how long Sony will support the online though with the studio closed. The game was a piece of s*** when it was released, and now it's awesome after more content, as well as fixing the bugs. If they did a new review at all the big sites for metacritic, the game would be in the 8's easily as an average.

I will eventually get Until Dawn, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Nioh.

Might decide to join PS Plus to get Until Dawn free this month.

My general recommendations (some you already have):

  • The Last of Us remastered
  • Uncharted Collection
  • Horizon: Zero Dawn
  • Until Dawn
  • Uncharted 4
  • Journey
  • Ratchet and Clank
  • Yakuza 0
  • Gravity Rush remastered (Vita port of a quirky/charming Japanese title, fun flying around)
  • Bloodborne
  • Nioh
  • Crash Bandicoot N-Sane trilogy (if you played Crash as a kid)
  • MLB: The Show (if you like baseball)
  • WipEout Omega (futuristic racer, 4K/60fps)
  • Heavy Rain, remastered (PS3 game with mild facelift)
  • Nier: Automata
  • The Last Guardian (mixed opinions, but the ones who love it, love it)
You will probably only like a handful of them, but at least check them out. All of them are well-received and well-reviewed. On the indie front, Nex Machina is getting a lot of praise, as did Resogun before it (both from Housemarque).

Agreed. Hated the game when it first launched but back in January when I got my Pro I figured I'd give it a chance again and enjoyed it a lot more. Haven't played it again in a while so I should. Still have a ton of content I haven't touched yet.
