NFS closed beta starts today

Got the code on the bone. Hopefully downloading now but was close to the HDD limit.
 
I'll take an extra Xbox One code if anyone has one. The website to sign up isn't working.
 
Ooh me too if anyone has one for the x1. I'd love to check this one out.

The first impression is really bad, with bad cutscenes and slow races. Most Wanted (2012) / Rivals kind of constant adrenaline rush this is not. However once I got into garage it seemed like there is a deeper, more fun game waiting, so I'll give it some more time. Can't be such a cutscene-fest even after the early section.
 
That said, I want to hear from those who prefer Underground series to Criterion NFS. Everything I don't like about the game has to do with Underground influence, and I'm a guy who thinks that Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted are the best arcade racer ever made. And I do know there are those who really don't like Criterion games and wanted to go back to Underground/MW(2005) days.

Oh s*** it's live action cutscenes. Who thought that was a good idea? When have live action cutscenes ever been good in a video game?

Well some of the UG fans think that way, there are those who hated Criterion MW because it didn't have story material, if that makes sense to you.
 
The best part of this game are the cut scenes IMO. They're so bad they're actually entertaining. The rest of the game is dreary.
 
Yuck. The cutscenes take me back to early Command & Conquer games but so much try hard going on. Controls feel very sluggish and lack of in-car cam or manual transmission = automatic no interest. Graphics do look great though. Didn't play long, mainly because I did the first race and it never finished. The other two cars just stopped there and that was it.

Not sure what the hell they were thinking with this. Rivals was a very good launch title in my opinion.
 
I hate the cutscenes. But I do dig the gameplay! I like how hard it is and the level of customization (for an nsf game).

But those goddamn cutscenes.
 
This game beta is just getting slaughtered all over the web. It's actually embarrassing.
