I'm surprised the moneyhat held this release off for more than a year to be honest.

Very unlikely to be a moneyhat situation. Squeenix likely and understandably had very low expectations for it.

And still do if its digital only

They said something along the lines “our team is too small to develop for multiple platforms, so we’ll stop development for the Xbox”. Soldier on they slowly did.

Hopefully it includes pc/enhanced assets for the x version.

Team too small and moneyhat too heavy to all carry at once. lol

Glad to see it's finally releasing on X though, hopefully a crisp 60fps. I'd stab someone in the face to see some HDR support in this game too.

Yeah, you’d think Square or even ms would send them some devs to aid them...

But yeah, glad it’s finally here

Nobody bought the first game so its not like anyone could have foreseen this success.

This was a good game, but nowhere near as good as other PlatinumGames titles like Bayonetta or Vanquish.

Saw that earlier. Looks best on X1X, but still has technical flaws. Just glad Xbox is getting some Nier (and Japanese) love.

About time we got some Japanese support up in here.

Nier: Automata is a fantastic game.

I don't have it yet, but I will get it. It looked awesome on the PS Pro, so I suspect it looks awesome on the X too.

I have it installed, but I don't want to start it until I finish God of War.

Damn! Save points are really frustrating in this game. Can’t remember the last game I played where it was 30 minutes to an hour before a save point with a difficult boss fight in-between. For whatever reason, I’m not very good at this game either. Rather take on a Souls or Bloodbourne boss. Can’t dodge for ish.

I’m not feeling this game too much so far, but I haven’t gotten far. Areas are bland and blocky looking, cutscenes seem low rez in a few places, etc.

Take back what I said about the game being hard. First checkpoint in the game was hard...specifically because you could take 30 minutes to reach the first boss and die in one hit from his blades (which happened to me twice). Game has been non-threatening since. In fact the game is too easy...except that first boss battle has me skiddish about turning up the difficulty. Hopefully the gameplay becomes more balanced and interesting later on. Little tedious just running circles around really poor AI.

At the Amusement Park right now.

I really want to get this but man, I wish it was just a little bit cheaper. $50 is steep right now.
