Nintendo is killing it! :bang:

Game sales:

Zelda 4.70 million
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 4.42 million
Splatoon 2 3.61 million
1-2 Switch 1.37 million
Arms 1.35 million

Surprised at arms. Websites talk like it was a sales bomb but that's good for a new IP

Switch at 7.63m units in 6 months.
Wii U 13.56m units after five years

Yeh but what’s the budget for a game like Tomb Raider compared to a small title like Arms?

I don't think TR had a $200 million budget and I wouldn't think Arms would have a budget where selling almost 1.5 million copies wouldn't be successful.

I see that as very successful... I don't think it costs near as much as PS4 games to develop, and fighting games like that are not huge projects like Horizon Zero Dawn

For a first year console that isn't a year old yet, that is crazy good to sell that many of a game that has only been on the market a few months

*See Andy, not negative!* :tounge:

Lol no one said TR had a 200 million budget, but it’s obvious it costs a lot more to make Tomb Raider than Arms.

Incredible numbers for th company I called dead. It’s all about the games with Nintendo and they hit out out of the ballpark this year. Do they have anything in the pipeline to keep it going? That remains to be seen.

New Metroid is confirmed, I'm sure we'll get a 2D Mario at some point and a new Donkey Kong. Possibly a new Smash Bros or a Deluxe version like Mario Kart had.

And finally a real Pokémon game is coming to consoles on the Switch. Yeah the momentum will keep going 2018 and beyond.

But the announcement was just a logo so it's probably not coming out next year.

They should do another F-Zero

I want a new Luigi's Mansion after seeing how good Odyssey looks.

Switches are being used in handheld mode 80% of the time according to Nintendo

I don't think that's accurate. Here's the post from Nintendo. Looks like 30% play it mostly handheld, 20% play it mostly docked, and the rest mix it up pretty evenly.

Yeah I read the article incorrectly.

Around 30 per cent of Switch owners play undocked for more than 80 per cent of the time.

That's compared to less than 20 per cent of Switch owners who play docked to the TV for more than 80 per cent of the time.

They better go third party before it crashes and burns. You can only go to the well so many times. Sell high, Nintendo!

Ohhh, i'm loving it.
