Action Mode FTW. 60fps locked. May not look that pretty but that is smoove as silk.

Basicly what we're seeing is history in the making. This is how genres evolve and become something major. And it all started with this little game called Demon Souls.
I applaud Team Ninja. It's the only game that could give Souls Borne a run it's money. The strategy involved in these titles ae unmatched. Japan once again proves why they' dominate fighters and RPG's. I would argue these games exceed Ps2 quality in some ways. . I 'm blown away by NiOh's gameplay. No doubt that Fromsoft, Team Ninja and and Platinum are unstoppable at their best.
So far looking like NiOh is my GOTY. but so many great games this year I can't say for sure. Nier Autama 'and Horizon Zero Dawn also got me HYPE 2016 and 2017 is really bringing me back to Ps2 era. As a gamer i couldn't be more than satisfied.

Are you saying that Nioh doesn't drop to sub hd 720p gameplay at times if you choose to play the game locked at 60fps?

I did not like the alpha of this game at all and I seem to be the only one who doesn't think it's like dark souls in any meaningful way (other than the summoning part). I never liked Ninja Gaiden either so it might be just the way these guys present their games that puts me off. I know you're a big Souls player... did you think it is like dark souls ?
Its more like a mix of Bloodborne,Ninja Gaiden,Onimusha and Otogi.
It was very challenging in the demo maybe because The controls are different than Souls/BB?
But not in a bad way..more of a learning curve. FYI I hated the alpha but enjoyed the demo especially the coop and summoning dead players and fighting them PVP.
Yeah the controls were kind of nasty. None of those games save Bloodborne ever held any interest for me. I'll move this to the maybe pile and revisit it when I see it half price.
4 hours to go until I can get my grubby hands on this. Took tomorrow off which is the first time since I think Forza 4 that I have done so for a game. Got a few other things to take care of as well but I'd be lying if this game wasn't the main reason. Anyone feel free to add me on PSN if you haven't already done so: Toxic_Vampire. Probably won't do coop right away but definitely will later on.
I can barely make it through Ryse on easy.....ain't no f***ing chance I could even get past the opening credits of this game then.
