Oh, great. My truck's muffler just fell off and is hanging very low.

When I came home from work tonight, I noticed that my truck was being loud. Sounds like I'm in a car racing or something, haha. Well, as soon as I arrived home, I, unexpectedly, found out that my muffler has been hanging low. And I have to work tomorrow morning!

Does anyone know what to do? Is it safe to take it off for now? Or tie 'em up? :(

Just got done googlin' the information about mufflers and all that. Basically, most people highly recommend to get it fix as soon as possible at the shop and to drive around as minimum as possible. My work is pretty long drive from my home (about 25 minutes atop). Looks like I'm stuck because my wife has to work tomorrow night and Saturday. She'll going to hate this but she probably have to drop off/pick me up tomorrow and Saturday. :( Boo-hoo.

I would say use a clothes hanger to tie it up, but if its really loud, that means its already broke its seal. You will have to bear with it until you can get it to a shop.

Your not gonna hurt anything driving with a busted muffler. You might just attract the attention of the five o if its really loud, might get a noise violation.

I'd just take it to the shop. It's going to cost you around $300 though.
