Ori and the Blind Forest

Ori and the Blind Forest developer Moon Studios clarified that the game is actually getting a Definitive Edition for Xbox One and PC due later this year.

Moon Studios co-founders Thomas Mahler and Gennadiy Korol announced the enhanced edition on the official Xbox Gamescom livestream [below].

"We received a ton of fan feedback and are just trying to make this the ultimate version of Ori," Mahler said.

"We really listened to what fans had to say about the game," Korol added. "We are actually adding a lot of new content such as new areas, which are going to be using new mechanics."

Moon Studios added on
Facebook that "People that already own the game will be able to upgrade for a very comfortable price."

Hmm. I already beat the game and loved it. But the extras will have to be substantial for me to buy it.

Need to get back in and finish this off, I think i got up to some part where i couldn't get past the owl and didn't know where to go next and didn't go back to it.

pleasantly surprised to find this versions achievements are not linked to the original. so 2000 if you've got both and are able to get them.

I own the original, and just went to buy the DE for the discounted price, but it says $19.99! I also tried loading up the game to see if you had to buy it from there, but it doesn't even mention the DE.

Anyone else had this?? Not paying another $20, that's for sure.

EDIT: Lol, forget it! After clicking on $19.99 and then canceling, it showed it at $4.99. Not sure if that's a glitch, but if I hadn't been paying attention, they would have billed me full price again.

Is there enough new content to make it worth the $5?

New areas, story elements and difficulty modes including one life

It seems stupidly hard. I grabbed that little light stone that lets you pass through barriers but it only lights up a very small radius around you. It seems like you have no choice but to jump to areas where you have no idea if there's anything to land on just trying to move forward in the game. The map is good in that it let's you see areas you haven't been to yet but it's very vague as well.
I'm going to put a couple more hours into it hoping that things get a little more straight forward but if the whole game is like this I won't continue.

Only thing I really liked so far was the cinema with that bad a$$ed evil owl who came and ripped the heart out of the spirit tree.

Ok... got further and I've seen now how the game is. Ton of back tracking. Lots of wondering around trying to figure what to do next. Many series of jumps requiring precision timing. And best of all.. dying a million times

So I got this through game pass and it is as awesome as you f***sticks said it was. I'm heading towards the wind area now after having gotten through the water tower of gushing proportions, where I picked up like 30-40 of my deaths trying to pick up all the collectibles on the way up. Good times are being had.
