New show on Netflix. Watch it. I'm seven episodes in. Heavy drama, honest (within the context of the show's world), drugs, murder. A lot to analyze. Very good acting. It's great seeing Bateman in another serious role like The Gift.

It's been renewed for a second season.

Knew Wyatt's fate was sealed as soon as he chose to propose to Darlene. Didn't think Javi was going to be the one to end them.[\spoiler]

Good final second half of season, but very poor final scene. Not sure how they thought that was a good way to end the series?

I can't tell if the shows wants us to be glad they got away with it all or not.

Or if we are supposed to think they paid some big price with Ruth dying

Currently in the middle of final season. Enjoying for most part.

I thought so, but the very end made me look at him sideways.
Because he smiled? You can just add that on to the things that don't make sense about the ending

With Wendy dragging them deeper in a whole and him not approving I really don't know how you can end with little consequences or without him standing up to her. It is a massive failure the more I think about it.

Was hoping she was going to get got.

I hate how that car crash seemed to forgive everything.

Wendy or Marty had to die. The show has had these 2 at odds with each other since season 1 and it built and built and came to nothing. These 2 should have have gone toe toe with only 1 survivor.

Amazing. Just amazing. Fantastic show and ending. Some fantastic acting too.

World doesn't work that way.

Since when?

I thought the ending was great because

The Byrds got everything they wanted, but at a horrible cost. I quoted the final line because I think it sums everything up perfectly. This wasn't about the Byrds, but about the messed up world. "The world doesn't work that way" - "Since when?" It reminded me of The Shield ending (don't want to spoil that). Corrupt FBI, corrupt local cops, corrupt politicians. The Byrds weren't the only "Bad guys" in this, or any worse than anyone else.

The world indeed does work that way

Terrible cost? Everything they care about is still whole.

And they didn't get everything they wanted either. Marty wanted out, they are not out.

Not the bad guys? The family is so messed up they give the Cartel a run for their money. At no point in this show does anybody or group cause more damage and destruction than the Byrds. They are very much the bad guys ih this show.

Marty cared about Ruth and genuinely felt regret for destroying her whole family. Even Wendy seemed to care as much as she could.

I meant to say they weren't the "only" bad guys. Everyone was the bad guy. Everyone saw cartel money and said "me too" even the FBI.

Yet he had no issues constantly mixing her up in stuff with a high probability of death. That doesn't sound like the actions of a man who actually cares. She was an asset, nothing more...an expendable asset at that it seems.

The ending just doesn't work IMO.
