Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare

This is definitely up my alley, my only worry is that it'll be a bit too chaotic gameplay wise. It looks like it can be great, but also a bit on the lame side. Still though, class based MP like this always impresses me.

And a while ago they announced the price which was I think 40 euros for X1...a damn nice price.

Yeah think ive seen it going for £30 here in the uk which is a nice price for a high quality game that only features multiplayer. I think with them doing away with calling games arcade titles. Then allowing publishers to choose a price point we will see alot more £25-30 games coming out with real quality.

I really want this game to be a success. Looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Not my cup of tea for shooters. But good to see some shooter variety. Aside from the usual BF/CoD, Sunset Overdrive is coming near launch, there's this P vs Z Garden game, Titanfall with mechs. Then Destiny is out in te spring too.

X1 has a solid mix of the usual military fare, some cheeky unique shooters and some sci-fi stuff. And then there's Halo next fall! Just need a Gears game to fill the "dude bros with pythons that put Hulk Hogan to shame". lol

I wonder if they'll have a Tower Defense type of mode. I mean, I suppose the gameplay is exactly that, but I wouldn't mind something like Monday Night Combat's style of tower defense, if it's not like that already.

I remember seeing this game announced at e3. Got pissed because I thought it was battlefield 4 being shown. Then walked away from it wanting the game really badly.

PopCap's team-based third-person shooter Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will not feature a single-player component when it launches early next year, Shacknews reports.

Instead, PopCap will double-down on the game's multiplayer focus with a variety of modes that offer up to 24-person competitive play and 4-player co-op. Speaking to Shacknews, PopCap creative director Justin Wiebe outlined the company's plans to build a dedicated multiplayer community around Garden Warfare.

Yikes. So when this game dies down online, then this game will be worthless if no one plays online. Can be very risky but we'll see. This game does look good, though.

I was excited for this title until I read MP only. Now if it's co-op horde mode with local included then I'll get pumped again.

4 player co-op only ? So if I want to do 2 players co-op, I can do that ? Or, 4 players only ?

I guess there is a downside of betting it all on MP but I would rather see a company gamble on their gut then play it safe and spread chips all over. Trying to tack on a Single Player game, when you can already play the regular PvZ for that, would have just watered it down. There is only so much time and money in a development cycle. It is the games that try to be everything to everyone that end up pleasing nobody. I actually think it looks pretty good and can see this game being pretty popular - especially among younger gamers who do not always get access to M rated shooters.

Thought I'd post this in here since there's so much stuff in this thread and it'd be a good place to keep it all under one umbrella so everyone can locate and watch the vids with maximum ease.

As for the game, as someone whose not really into military shooters 9 times out of 10, I'll say that this is the coolest MP game I've seen so far on the X1. Looks fun, tons of variety in gameplay, and lots of customization features. A big thumbs up for me.

There's definitely an argument for it. TF2 is one of the best shooters of all time and I'm pretty sure people aren't buying CoD for the campaign.

This could without a doubt be a Titanfall killer.

Seriously though ever since this game was first announced it's been on my "to play" list, and this video just confirmed that it's not coming off of it.
