After seeing the news about the expansion of the Game Pass from Microsoft, I began to think about the Play Anywhere feature they offer. Obviously this is also included with the Game Pass, so that gives the feature a larger appeal and a bigger consumer base.

Do you think Play Anywhere is successful? And are you actually buying games on your Xbox and playing them on your PC as well as Xbox? And are you playing cross platform?

For me personally, I have yet to use Play Anywhere, even though I have Play Anywhere games. I have a PC that can play them of course, but since I don't care to play on PC (unless a game is only available on PC), the Play Anywhere feature has had zero impact on my gaming experience. I know it's a great value, but is the audience for this feature small? Or is it more widely used than I imagine?

What are your thoughts on Play Anywhere now that it has been around for over a year?

I probably would use it, but I still have Windows 7.

I would use it (so my son could play Halo Wars 2 with me), but my PC is so old it can't play any of these games anyway.

I use it when I don't have access to my Xbox One.

I'd use it a ton more if other games supported it; games like Overwatch, PUBG, Battlefield 1 etc etc,, if they had Win10 releases and connectivity with Xbox One, I'd probably be playing a ton more often than I already do.

I only play games on my big tv.... aside from dabbling with the occasional free flash game on my ancient laptop.

No games would run well (if at all) on my laptop. And I have no interest buying a new PC anytime soon. I'll buy one when this 7 year old laptop dies..... and by the way Windows 7 is rock solid, probably won't be for another 7 years!

But even if I had a good gaming rig that beats any console, I still prefer console gaming on a couch. Like many of you I've had good PCs in the past, but still played Sega, Ninty or PS systems.

Never. I have a great computer for games, but I don't want to play games on a computer.

So far the only thing that surprises me of all the vote options are the NO NEVER votes. I figured that there might be a FEW more people than that using the feature, considering we are the hardcore.

It's a tiny sample, but do you think it is a representation of the overall feelings of the service for Xbox gamers?

I would think it is, yes. It's a great feature and plenty of people probably feel that way (as do I), but that doesn't mean they are going to use it.

I think maybe it'll change a bit when games are both Play Anywhere and have Cross Play between the two. Sea of Thieves for instance runs like f***ing butter on PC an has absolutely seamless play with Xbox, perfect controller support etc etc..

Never. I have a great computer for games, but I don't want to play games on a computer.

Same boat here. Well maybe i don't have a great computer but i'm sure it can run plenty of games at respectable settings. I just choose not to. I look around my room at all the consoles and games i have to play then i look at my PC and just laugh. Like who has time for any of that? If you have time to tinker with graphics cards and everything else to get a game running that you could be already playing on console in a split second then more power to ya.

Thanks for voting guys. 24 votes from here is pretty good. It's almost what I expected. A LITTLE less people using the feature than I thought, but pretty close.

If MS would implement the Play anywhere feature a little better, I'd use it more. But when I tried it with Killer Instinct and Gears 4 with the windows store on Windows 10 it really was a hassle and a pain in the butt. Mainly issues with the Windows Store.

My laptop can sort of barely run Recore, but not really convincingly. If I had a gaming laptop, maybe I could see doing it more. Especially now that I have the X, though, I'll usually just play straight on the console.

I'm slowly backing stuff up in anticipation of installing 10 later in the year. Playing a coop game with a friend on Steam too and want to wait until we're done.

I finished Quantum Break and Recore on PC thanks to cross buy, but the only reason why is because I have floor to ceiling windows in my apartment, and the sun hits my lounge room like a bitch in summer, and I didnt want tan-lines.

As a primarily PC gamer (at least for the foreseeable future) I love Play Anywhere. I still have my original Xbox One but haven't used it except as a Blu-ray player in probably a year now. Being able to play Xbox exclusives on PC now is great and means I can save the $500 towards buying an X1X.

Also lol at Scalebound in the pic... :(
