The actual game doesn't have crushed blacks, I'm not sure why these are so dark. They don't look this dark on my actual tv, only after I copied to USB. Still decent though.
I wonder if it's just the lack of HDR so the details don't show up as much when viewing on a comp or phone.? I've noticed in some of mine too that they look better on the tv than they do here.
That's probably it. I did have HDR enabled. On my screen most of those black areas have a lot of nuanced detail in them, you can see everything.
Is that a PS4 specific thing? None of my Gears of War 4 shots had that problem, though they clearly didn't appear to have HDR, but the blacks weren't crushed like that.
ughh... I have like 20 way better dark pictures I was about to upload... just going to delete 'em.
Some of my black and white shots I didn't put up because they looked darker on twitter than they did on my tv screen. I'm just guessing that's the problem because HDR does allow you to see more details in darker places, I could be wrong about that though.
I'll just have to remember to switch off HDR for pics from now on as see if that makes a difference in night time shots.
Going to try some b and w shots, i didn't even know you could do that, there's so many options.
Yeah the photo mode is great, I love having the ability to change the time of day, helps so much to be able to adjust the lighting.
