Official Thread Playstation VR

Rez and RE7 are the only games so far that I want to play in VR but at that price 900k so far is no failure.

Problem is you don't see many titles getting rave responses

I'ma get one at some point just for RE7 really. EVE Valkyrie looks really cool but not sure how that turned out. Would be fun in GT Sport as well I think. Obviously stock is questionable at this time otherwise I wouldn't plan to pick it up for a while yet. Don't have an HDR TV right now so maybe I get lucky and they update the device to allow HDR passthrough.

Not sure if there is still a stock issue for anyone wanting one but they are now in-stock at Amazon (both headset and launch bundle). Still priced $399/$499.

I think RE7 PSVR is more of a revolution in console gaming than anything on ps4/xb1/360/ps3. It goes back that far. You're IN the game lol, but it goes beyond that even, hard to explain. Someone posted a scorecard of metacritic a month back or so and it showed PSVR games are outscoring XB1 during it's launch, and rivaling ps4. But again there are ton of small games that score 60s-70s in PSVR and many complain about content, yet most of those games are $5-15. Not sure what 'rave responses' means though, could mean something else.

Dirty Rally(another awesome game in full VR) and RE7 for example, those games make me fvcking sweat when I play. I just stare at the wall for a few seconds after I take off the headset. Whoa. It still gets me. Looking at a TV is a joke by comparison, it's like going in reverse 30 years, even when the graphics are amazing.

Not sure if this is hype bulls***, but this is getting a lot of people saying things like "breathtaking" and people crying at the menu screen because of the scale of beauty of the environment. Hits PSVR this summer.

I wouldn't doubt the crying one bit. I'm sure if there was a Yamato game like this and we destroyed a planet with the undulation gun in VR, there'd be tears from myself. Not the same as just being in the world in VR, some of us need more stimulation, I guess. ;)
Truth be told, it was a very special moment for me, gunning the Lancia Delta S4 in Dirt Rally for the first time.

Yeah, I noticed the same with RE7 and Dirt. Especially Dirt, trying to keep the S4 on the road at moderate speed with some success.

Sony will start pushing its PlayStation VR virtual reality headset as a commercial device after making "slower-than-expected" progress in the consumer arena.

As reported by the Wall Street Journal, the Japanese giant's video game wing has established a "location-based entertainment" unit tasked with leading the commercial VR charge and finding partners in various industries.

Video game arcades and theme parks would be sensible targets for company, with Sony thought to be initially focused on finding partners in Japan

God damn backlog is the only thing stopping me from getting RE7 the demo was outstanding. I still don't like the wire situation with the VR though there's too much going on both front and back, the device is a pain in the ass to connect.

Good reviews on PC, now coming to PSVR with full movement controls June 27

Ultrawings, a spirtual succussor to pilotwings, also well received on PC, now coming to PSVR

Eve Valkyrie 13.99

Probably one of the best online space multiplayer games I've played, super polished and the immersion is great.

best buy will also price match this if you have a frys in your location

That sure makes VR more tempting. I love Skyrim, so that part going from 6:10 to 6:40, really makes me want to jump in. The part starting at 5:00 is pretty funny, too.

Good job keeping this thread up to date, dead.

How many people here own PSVR? Three or four?

Yeah, I cannot wait. Having a full game experience like Skyrim is a dream come true. When I first played VR I was like "wow, VR makes these little short games soooo much better, imagine something like Skyrim."

Now it's real.

I think there are four of us total, maybe five soon! ;)

Did you ever buy RE7?

I still would have liked to have seen more commitment from Sony in regards to first party software on PSVR.

I mean Bathesda's big guns in VR is huge. And some of the smaller studios had cool stuff for it. I just expected Dreams to be there or at least something from Japan Studios.

Super hot VR from what I've heard is one of Pc's killer apps for VR, could be coming to psvr as early as next week!

I honestly think skyrim will push psvr hard and we will see alot more. For me, I have a legit backlog on this thing. Lol
