This February will be the 20th anniversary of Pokemon Red and Green releasing in Japan. In celebration of this, The Pokemon Company will be doing tons of things, including airing an ad during the Super Bowl.
Where to begin?
A special New 3DS console with Pokemon Red and Blue pre-installed, and Charizard and Blastoise faceplates.
Next up, all of the animated movies will be remastered and released digitally on iTunes and Amazon.
There will also be new trading cards.
And finally, every single month starting in February with Mew, you will be able to get a different Mythical Pokemon through December.
Of course, there is also speculation that this year will bring another main series game. Possibly Pokemon Z? Who knows! Regardless, it's a great time to be a Pokemon fan!
