I have a beta key if anyone wants it?
You need to be running Windows 8.1(which I'm not)
PM you in a sec
if this game is easy for the novice to make games and to share this could be the game changer xbox one needs.
Not sure if its a silly question, but can you sell or make money from the game you created using Project Spark, like its some kind of game engine like Unity & Unreal.
I asked as I am interested to make my own simple adventure game, & I will devote the coming years to learn either UDK or Unity. If Project spark work. It could be good for a beginner like me.
Lucky me then, I am quite good at Maya (which is on par with 3d Max on popularity), specialize in character design. Not to brag, but this is my lastest work done over Christmas (everything in the scene is done by me).If I were to go back in time, and give myself one piece of advice for my video games, I would tell myself to learn 3d studio or Blender first.
Blender has a very capable game prototyping facility built in, and 3d studio seems to be the standard for non-character animation and object editing.

What I need is to learn the programming, game building side of things.
Well Maya does seem to be the goto product for character animation... Are you getting into rigging, or just the modeling?
This gives me a lot of hope. Those look awesome. Can't wait to play other people's creations.
I hope it's easy to use. I'm no programmer guy, so I have a feeling my games will be shyt, but some ideas I was thinking of:
- Twin stick Geo Wars/Grid Space Shooter rip off
- Twin stick arcade shooter like Smash TV/Robotron rip off
- Turned based strategy game
- Some kind of business game, maybe even old school like Cartels & Cutthroats which was a text based game where you set pricing and sell product. All I need to see is dollars and cents!
I never played that game much in the arcade. A combo of never seeing it much back then...... plus I sucked at it! Now Gyruss I could last a while. Got to a point clearing the first wave of planets (so you restart the planets again) and getting perfect bonus rounds was the norm.... and if I couldn't do it it was considered a waste of a quarter.Love me some Robotron 2084! Go for it. No bull, I used to could play for hours on one quarter. (After having spent a thousand bucks learning). Great game.
I never played Robotron in arcades, but I did have it on the 360 on XBLA. Good thing I didn't have to use quarters for those games because I probably last less than 2 minutes on every game. So hard.Love me some Robotron 2084! Go for it. No bull, I used to could play for hours on one quarter. (After having spent a thousand bucks learning). Great game.
I'll take one
I'll take one
