Project Spark is the first free Xbox One game that doesn't require an Xbox Live Gold subscription. This will be very good for the game and will make it far more accessible. Hopefully this is the norm going forward with F2P games on any Xbox.

"You do not need an Xbox Live Gold account to play Project Spark," community manager Mike Lescault wrote in a Reddit thread last night. Asked whether this would apply to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions, or just the PC version, he added: "You will not need a gold subscription to play Project Spark for free on any platform." Case closed.

Cool beans. Though to really get the most out of the game Gold is going to be a necessity. Either way, excited to try this game out.

It'd be cool that after it's release, this was pre-installed on all X1 consoles. Either way, that's very cool and I can't wait for the release to see what people come up with. I'm even happier to know it's coming to the xbox 360/pc as well, so I don't need to miss out if I don't have an X1 by the time it comes out.
