its amusing when taking a trip down memory lane and thinking about some of the daunting goals that were to be achieved back then. it makes you really appreciate what it's successors have done for the livingroom and beyond. but most of all, it completely negates a lot of the headlines when believing that any platform under a PlayStation name could ever be destine as just a games only system as it never was nor could it ever be.

Damn ps2 was a beast, probably my fav console. It was the last console I thought was really impressive all the way around.

Judging by this the cloud has a chance of being worthy in a future Xbox.

by the history of it all, the PS3 was obviously a more thorough vision Sony had wanted the PS2 to be but were likely limited by technology back then. So my guess is the PS4 is even more daunting as a hub for the livingroom to which we have yet to see.

The PS2 was on another level for its time. It wasn't even the most powerful console for that generation and it still did some amazing things.
