When I click the link, it says it's out of stock and the price is listed at $399. So maybe it was a very limited-time offer?

Yep, gone. I'll delete it. I should have got an extra one.

PSN holiday sale - https://blog.us.playstation.com/2017/12/12/ps-stores-holiday-sale-5-weeks-of-savings/

I bought a few games (Earthlock, Wipeout Omega Collection, & Marvel Puzzle Quest) from this weekly sale.

Note: God I need to stop buying PSN digital games. My backlog just got even bigger with 200+ games and counting and that's just from the PSN alone lol.

Insomniac on the danger of listening too much to your fanbase:

In an interesting interview with Games Industry.biz, Insomniac Games’ chief brand officer Ryan Schneider shared some candid anecdotes about the controversial transition from Resistance: Fall of Man to Resistance 2.

“We were relatively inexperienced when it came to interacting with our community at that point in time,” he admitted. “Social media and community were still in their relatively early days, and we over-indexed on how much we listened to our fanbase versus trusting ourselves.” In other words, it listened to the vocal minority, and it ended up changing things that most people liked about the PlayStation 3 launch title.

He continued: “What happens is we deal with this thing called the doubt monster, or what other people call the lizard brain, and we start to enter this phase of defensiveness or self-doubt. And we don't believe in ourselves and the choices we're making, and that causes us to cave in and compromise. When we do that, we stray from our vision and values.

New PlayStation Boss Pledges Support For Single-Player Games

John Kodera, who is took over as President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment following Andrew House's departure, has pledged that Sony will continue to make single-player games. In a message posted on Twitter, Kodera said you don't have to worry about Sony going all-in on the increasingly popular "games-as-a-service" model.

"I will do my best to continue the excellent work done by [Andrew House]," he said (via GamesRadar). "About the issue of 'games as a service,' do not worry about it. PlayStation's vision is totally different."

Good news for humans like me stuck in ancient times.

Yeah, it's nice to hear Kodera say it. He was head of PSN before, so when he took House's spot, there was some concern that he'd push hard toward multiplayer/GaaS strategies. At least he's saying the right things.

So I bought killzone a while ago on the cheap. I'm about five minutes in an the story already makes no sense. Why on earth would they give half their planet to the space commies, and let them forcably move their citizens.

Like, violently. They let these horrible, oppressive people, who they've been fighting to the point where they had to destroy their planet, take half their planet and allow them weapons and to displace their own people?! I mean, WTF?

Oh yeah, the faces are the worst uve seen since Alan Wake. They are so deep in the uncanny valley, they've set up farms....

I've played every game in the series and have no clue what any of the story is about. They've all been games with pretty graphics and forgettable storylines for me.

Like Mr. X I too have played them all and I have no idea what the story is about.

Former DriveClub, Motorstorm Devs Working on Sci-Fi Title as Wushu Studios

As for the aforementioned sci-fi project, there aren't really any details to go on just yet, but the developer does reveal that it's using Unreal Engine 4. Studio lead Alan McDermott comments: "We firmly believed in the idea that our initial concepts needed to be gamepad experiences as quickly as possible, so we turned to Unreal Engine for its amazing rapid prototyping capabilities. This approach has helped us figure out which of our concepts would allow us to flex our creative muscle most. It’s definitely not what people will be expecting to see from us; it’s absolutely not a racing game!”

Sony sent out a review of my 2017 game stats and looks like i spent an insane amount of gaming on the PS4 console. I did 177 hours for the year 2016.

I never get these. I remember finding a post on Reddit about this but never seemed like anyone really knew the answer.

My PS4 Pro has been almost exclusively a VR machine lately. I need the upcoming big hitters now.

Though I do still have Horizon ZD to get through.

Bruce Straley on why he left Naughty Dog.

Excerpt from interview with Jason Schreier:

"And then Uncharted 4 showed up and it was like— I guess there’s a difference between doing something for yourself which feels passionate—and I had my own theories that I was trying to expand upon between Uncharted 1, 2, and The Last of Usand then Uncharted 4 became more like, ‘How do I do this for the team and for the company?’ Because we needed to get the game out the door, and we needed it to be something good, so that it didn’t put a mark on the Naughty Dog name. I felt like, I guess in hindsight I took on that role more for the team than for me personally. Also, we did that game in two years, from the moment that Neil [Druckmann] and I stepped on, almost to the day. Two years to create that beast, that then became the hardest project.

So there was this constant, it had nothing to do with Naughty Dog, nothing to do with games, it’s just me, I’m a perfectionist, what we’re going after, just triple-A. Everything all culminated into, ‘Oh my god, it’s time to take a break. It’s just time to step away.’

Bruce, if you're reading this (ha), thanks for your work on Uncharted and TLoU. Rest up. Take care of yourself.

I think there may be something wrong with my controller. It only stays charged for 2-3 hours, max.

The light bar doesn't turn off when playing either, is that normal?

Edit: after some googling, people say to keep it plugged in for 24 hours or something. My bad.
