PS4’s New Communites Are Already Popular
: Check Out The Biggest for MGS5, Destiny, Uncharted and More

Sony Computer Entertainment released the new Comunities feature just yesterday, and after a little more than twenty-four hours we can definitely say that it was well received.

There are already a few communities that have reached their cap of 10,000 users, forcing their creators to open overflow communities working as a sort of waiting list. That’s the case with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain‘s community, that has already an overflow of over 3,000 members, and Destiny‘s biggest group.

Destiny doesn’t hust have its main 10,000-strong communities, but also three relatively smaller ones counting between 2,000 and 3,200 members each.

Other large communities include Star Wars: Battlefront, The Last of Us, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Minecraft.

There’s even a nicely sized community dedicated to JRPGs and RPGs, and those for members of popular environments like Reddit and NeoGaf (which counts 1,620 members even if the screenshots below says 1, since it’s a closed community).

I knew the feature would have been popular, but it actually caught up faster than I expected. Below you can see all the community I could find that count over 1,000 members at the moment of this writing. (see link)

Typing in it sucks though with the controller. Nobody is joining my VGF one :(

Yeah, that's true. I joined half a dozen communities, but when I tried typing to post, I found it takes too much work. Maybe if I had some kind of chat pad, but without one, I doubt I'll be taking part in many conversations.

I tried to join the VGF one, but when I hit the invite, it said it wasn't there. Disappeared or something.

Let me see what happened.

Oh my... I think Sony is really trying to sell FIFA 15. "Because you played FF Type-0," we recommend FIFA 15. "Because you played FFX-2 HD," we recommend FIFA 15. "You played Resogun? Our top recommendation is FIFA 15!" I'm being coerced! Oh and the video game "Duck Dynasty" was the third top recommendation for me because I played Disney's "Frozen Freefall."

you try a kb/mouse?

I tried Three-Fourths Home, which came out on 10/13. It's an indie, cost $5. I was interested because it was a narrative-driven game that supposedly dealt with heavy themes of family dsyfunction, sexuality, disability, alcoholism, and loss.

The game is shallow. It involves you talking on a cell phone to various family members while driving home. You press R trigger the whole game, to keep the car moving. That's an annoying mechanic, btw -- pressing R for 90 minutes to keep the screen scrolling. The screen is a side-on view of your car, driving through corn fields. Black and white. Very basic.

The conversations on the cell phone are pretty ordinary. Dad got hurt and now has too much to drink, and you express your concern. Little brother has some kind of intellectual or emotional disability, and he tells you a story he wrote. Mom worries about a couple things. There is a mention but no exploration of your relationship difficulties.

Everything is displayed as text. There is no voice acting. You choose dialog responses, but these don't lead to anything very interesting. I kept expecting some big revelation or showdown, but it never came.

It was basically a game about a fairly ordinary cell phone conversation between family members. Boring.

Thanks for taking one for the home team Andy. I hadn't even heard of this one and glad I saw your post because I could have bought this one on it's description.

that sounds like an indy game trying to be indy but doing it all wrong

i saw that game on the store and thought it looked interesting and kept it in mind for the future, but will skip it now. ta

Convo with angry gamer. Doesn't happen too often, and I'm glad for that. But I found this funny nonetheless. This is also why I use the PS4 iPhone app when playing Bloodborne. Because no pause button lol.

I played Knock Knock on PSN. I give it a "nay." It's a very boring and repetitive walking simulator. It's worse than Whispering Willows. The reviews are very mixed for this game depending on what it did for you, but it's mostly just the atmosphere people are praising and gaga'ing over and nay-sayers like I wanting more than that.

And speaking of Whispering Willows, it's not a terrible game. The atmosphere was awesome, but the gameplay was just too repetitive and not engaging enough.

Trying to debate on if The Order 1886 is actually worth $20.....
I might pick it up.

I think it would be at that price even if just to experience the visuals, even though you have a monster PC, lol.

The game is actually fun for what it is. Basically a pretty shooting gallery. it has some challenge to it.

$20 is a reasonable price for The Order, although, to me, I more more often make game choices based on whether it's worth my time, rather than my money.

The Order has nice visuals, a unique setting, and some competent third-person shooting. The story is not very good, but the plot/action has some good moments. It's like a B grade movie. It's one of those games you play when you don't have anything better to play.

I redboxed it for 7-8 bucks and beat in two days taking my time best I remember. I would check there, that's a game I definitely didn't want to do a second playthrough, but it was ok the first time.

Downloading Driveclub again as it's been a long time since I played it last. Plus I need a break from Forza since I just finished 5 not that long ago. I'm not expecting much out of it but worth checking out the DLC I missed I suppose.

Let me know if the bikes work well within that framework.

Not sure why the black Friday thread is closed

Because we have a new forum where all the deals are posted: http://unionvgf.com/index.php?forums/video-game-deals-steals.70/

Sow go ahead and post the deals you find, a new thread for every deal with prefix, sow if finds a new deal after posted thread about a Ps4 console then make a new thread instead of using the one that posted previously.
With black friday deals could also post that in end of deal with either - black friday deal or (black friday deal).
And if find any game deals then first search and see if already posted if not then post (ps4) in front of deal, this is sow easier can find the deals on twitter.
