This is pretty good. I am tempted to say the slim at $249.99, but they probably don't want such a disparity driving people from the Neo. $299/$399 seems right.
 
No chance there will only be a $100 price gap. $299 and $499 is what I've heard with the possibility of $249 and $449 at the absolute lowest. Specs remain unchanged except for a possible CPU clock. PSVR will run noticeably, bordering on substantially, better on Neo.
 
PS4 Slim is going to be the same price as the current PS4.

They're replacing that SKU, not giving you a new cheaper option. It's not like Sony to do their customers any favors on pricing.

Its possible but a price drop is inevitable. Its hard to picture them selling it for $350 for the rest of the year especially after a few down months of sales.

$250 just isn't believable to me though
 
Lol they are not showing The Last Guardian to push the Neo. Horizon, God Of War, Days Gone, Spiderman and SP's and ND's next games will all look infinitely better. Anyway I am sure Japan Studio have a much better graphically looking game to here or at TGS. The Last Guardian lol.

I'd expect the Neo versions to run 60fps as opposed to 30fps. I'm pretty sure the PS4 versions were already sporting 1080p, being first party. Looking infinitely better may be a stretch, but we will see. Maybe they will keep Neo versions at 30fps and bump visuals. Not sure, depends on the PS4 target.

A stretch? The Last Guardian's art style is what it looks amazing not its texture or graphical prowess. Sony would be mad to focus on that game for the Neo when they have a host of exclusives which graphically look outstanding.
 
What do we predict the official name will be?

Neo probably won't stick. But I like it.
I can't think of another decent name for it.

I was talking about the other games, not TLG. I can't imagine the delay that would happen if they had to uograde it for Neo, lol.
 
One of the articles I posted said a Japanese company has made a 4K/30 demo to show tomorrow. I wonder what game it is..hmm.

I don't think they'll use the "4K" bit, since it'll make it sound like 4k as standard.

It'll open them up to too much criticism.

I honestly don't know what they'll call it . Maybe borrow from the labels from their TV phone divisions? I don't mind Neo.

Neo and Scorpio suck as names so i hope not.

But wouldn't that be like naming the One S, One S 4K?

Either way, great things to have in the device.

I hate seeing these dates and times! I have to keep reminding myself I have to wait another day.

I hope they show more of Horizon.
