Are you sure it was the OCD and not just the realization that consoles are better than PC?
Welcome to the club kid.
A huge percentage of of sets that have HDR at this point have horrible implementation of it that shouldn't be used, or will be outdated in a year or two. If you're going to wait, wait for a set that hasn't been released yet.
Netflix in 4K and HDR is not impressing me on the 900E so far...something is not right,it has no pop besides the occasional fires or lights...I will try it on the X tonight to see if it looks better...I swear it looked better on my 5 year old 1080P set...Horizon looks awesome,FFXV also looks great in HDR but Netflix just looks bland, even the regular HD stuff...
I've had my Pro for a few days, things I've noticed.
1. Fan can and will get loud, not OG PS4 fan loud, it's more of a "lots of air" being moved around rather than a higher pitched jet engine like sound. It is audible and is a little annoying though.
2. Some times the dash can be sluggish, especially when coming out of a game.
3. I've had it crash to a black screen once, and had to pull the power plug, it was totally unresponsive. Never seen that happen before on any PS4 console.
1. I have that a lot.
2. My dash is never sluggish. The Store can be when it has to load in artwork at times.
3. I never had that happen, but when I got the 5.00 update to the dashboard, I didn't think my PS Pro would start. It stayed black screen for many minutes. I kept pressing the power button and holding it in until I could get the PS to react. When it did, it did some check disk thing, and then started up and never had an issue after that.
noise is atrocious anytime i play a enhanced game, its borderline pathetic craftmanship. it litrally can be heard in other rooms when it goes into a temperary full overdrive
I don't think it's a resolution issue. I just YouTube'd it thinking people were overreacting, but I think it's just a janky issue hitting up some consoles.strange in the almost year of Pro ownership it has been A: very quiet, B: never sluggish, and C: never crashed like that (I have had those things well the last 2 happen on my last 2 fat PS4s). I do not have mine hooked to the new 4K HDR set so maybe things may change when that happens, who knows.

Being able to hear the game is overrated anyway. People need to learn to use their other senses to hear games.. like taste.
The ejectable disc trays were perfect for acting as a coaster for your drink, and even better, if you snapped the base off your wine glass, you just put the stem through the gap in the tray! Instant wineglass holder!Lol disks. 2016 called....
Yup sounds like mine.

No, there are plenty of PS guys that have the issue not just multiplatform gamers. Check out the official PS forums.Lol. I was thinking the same thing last night. Wait, the guys claiming their PS4 Pro is loud are either Xbox or PC guys in here.. I have heard mine get loud. Maybe more than my X1X but they both get loud at times. Silent my ass, lol.
The funny thing is, and i'm not even kidding.. my PC sounds like a worn out go-kart. It's nonstop loud since day one. Without even playing a game. I know it's not the best PC and i could probably do something to make it less noisy but wtf. Point and case, the problem with PC. Everything's a f***ing chore.
I completely agree with this, especially since the Xbox One X is more powerful and is totally silent at all times.
I honestly haven't put a disk in my PS Pro yet. I can't see a reason to ever do so since I am all digital.I've also recently noticed that the disk drive is very noisy, like vibration noise. Much louder than launch and slims PS4.
Going back to the black screen crash, this JUST happend to my friend who i was in a party with, black screen, we could hear each other in the party but the system is totally unresponsive to controller or the consoles buttons, he has a PS4 slim. We are thinking that something in system update 5.03 is causing this because this happpend to neither of us prior to it.
