Let us know which playstation you liked the best @ the 1 year into the generation mark.
 
PS4 was better than the PS3's first year IMO. The other two I didn't get at launch.
 
ps4 triumphs ps3, but almost every successful console has triumphed ps3's first year, so that isn't saying much. I can't really remember the other PS console's first year very well, but Ps3 and ps4 both seem weaker though.
 
I'd say ps4 is the best launch so far because of the reliable hardware and great demand but minus all of the missing features we should have had on day one like YouTube and MP3.
 
hardware is reliable great point, but I never had an issue from a PS console first year.
 
Eh I think this is the first Playstation I've owned in the first year. My brother had a PS1 way before me but don't remember when he got it. PS2 who the hell knows. PS3 I bought in 2011.
 
I think the PS4 has had the best first year of any PS console. When it's all said and done will it have a better library of games than the previous PS consoles? Only time will tell.
 
Didn't PS2 have games like MGS2, FFX, Ico,GTA III, DMC, Silent Hill 2, Jak and Daxtar, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 and Gran Turismo in its first year?

I only had the PS1/2 year one, though the PS4 looks like it might have a better 1st year than the rest.
 
Not really sure on first year. based on launch though I would easily give it to the PS2. PS1 and PS4 had pretty much nothing I wanted at launch. PS2 though had several games I craved. Games like International Superstar Soccer(later became PES), SSX, Tekken Tag tournament, Ready to Rumble 2.

PS2 most likely wins first year as well. Software like ...

PGA tour
Noe of Enders

and likely a crap ton of others I have forgotten. Compare that to PS4 and the PS2 likely has double the amount of software that really interested me.

I chose PS2 because it had the largest amount of good titles, by far, over the others the first year but nostalgia wants me to choose PS1 because it had SF Alpha as a nearly arcade perfect port it's first year. That really trumps all.

It smokes pretty much any console. Even the 360 which I thought had a pretty amazing first year falls way short. Its funny cause a lot of people always equate PS2 being so dominate because of little competition. I was always found that odd considering the the amount of quality titles that platform had for nigh on its entire life time(as in before PS3 was announced).

yeah ps2 would have probably dominated any competition they had anyway. makes me sad to look back when sony pumped out games like that too.
 
owned them all, but for me, PS4 is so much better for no other reason than the joypad. took Sony generations to fix it. but they have.
