I bought a 4K LG TV last weekend and I'm wondering if this is normal...
I'll turn on the PS4, I'll hear the startup sound, but no video until the dashboard is loaded. Sometimes the backlight turns completely off after a loading screen and the game starts up and it turns back on. Other times the backlight dims considerably while changing channels on my DVR. It doesn't dim with a constant signal or anything...just wondering if this is normal? I don't have any power saving settings enabled anywhere at all. I've been using an issue free plasma for the last 7 years, and it's annoying the hell out of me and wondering if there's something wrong with this thing.
I have 2 other led TV's in the house connected to older consoles, and they don't do anything like this.
Edit: I can't delete this thread. I found out it's some weird type of dimming LG TVs do.
