Phil is just doing his world tour as he oversees the prepping of Scorpio games. Sea of Thieves in native 4K, with HDR and wide color gamet....oh my!
Hmm I remember when I first tried to download it and having a similar issue, and then it was just there, in the Xbox Preview/insider thing.
You should have an alert on the side bar on the left too.
That looks like a lot of fun (depending on who you are playing with)! I hope they flesh out the Melee combat more though...
Not only that but especially the gun combat because right now it lacks any kind of impact when you hit someone.
True, that goes for most multiplayer games. Your teammates really make or break the experience.
Just look at your calender and look at your busy slots. That's when the next session is.
Good interview- it will be super interesting how Sea of Thieves evolves through the years. These super big picture games as a service model is much more ambitious and interesting than the single player campaign games that are dying off.
One thing that should be mandatory, is a mic. I don't have one, but it's REALLY a limiting factor to the enjoyment of the game. There's only 4 people to a crew, and you REALLY depend on communication.
And THOSE waves!!!! I could seriously watch them for hours. They're the most beautiful thing I've seen in gaming in years. Honestly.

I think Sea of Thieves will be one of those games that depends heavily who you're playing with. Probably not the game for uber competitive try-hards. Good game to play if everyone is drunk.
I ordered a pretty reasonable stereo headset from Amazon just for the game right when I signed up. Sure, it kind of defeats the purpose of having surround sound, but I thought it'd be good for late night sessions.
Problem is, I've still not gotten the invite.
