OMG, just a frustrating encounter. We did the skull fort and got jumped. There has to be some reward for at least defeating the fort. All that time wasted. Told the guys I was with that I enjoyed the fighting, but the beat down was too much for me.

Took over 2 months for me to fall of Destiny. Probably and other 2-3 with Division. A month for Destiny 2. And about a week or so with this.

I think I need to back away from these sort of games. I really like the concept and I do think there's alot of charm there. Guess I'll let Rare do their thing and come back to SOT later. So disappointed. UGH.

Some one on YouTube said that the Pirate Legend quests are a combination of all three guilds. But they did say that those quest have a chance for pirate legend chest which will contain specific treasures including items. Anyone can steal these chests too. I'll go through my YouTube history and see if I can find that vid again, but the pirate legend chests at least sound good.

From what I can see the items from chests is a rumour. But the legendary ship, ship naming, customization are not in the game yet, apparently. So who knows.

But the legendary quests are as you say, just typical faction missions that fill up the entire quest map radial menu and are/or can be multiple chapters. One of these quests could take several hours to complete and have no save system, which is just dumb.

So I experimented with griefing Galleon crews today. I would join a random Galleon crew and dump whatever loot they had off the back of the boat. Got locked in the brig once only to cash in big off of the hard work of the others while my game was minimized and I was doing other s***.

They really need to add a vote to kick option or make it so that if someone is in the brig and not actually playing that they cannot cash in off of the hard work of the others.

The problem is that people are getting put in the brig for no reason already so will just get booted out for no reason. It's a no win situation for Rare

I must have thrown your crews s*** off the boat the other day lmao.

I mean, "there's nothing else to do in this game" so might as well have some kind of fun.

By ruiining the game for other people? f*** off.

So in my last moments of playing last week before I gave up for a little while....we were being ransacked. 2 guys took a bunch of our treasure and kept spawn killing us. Before our boat sank, I managed to cling to the side of their boat. I thought I'd be able to at least grab something or maybe sink there boat...whatever. Being a dummy, I communicated to my crew. I swear I thought I was in party chat. I wasn't. They heard me and shot me. That still bugs me.

You are the Charlie Brown of Sea of Thieves... Good grief!

No surprise there. All of your kind do.

Not upset at all. I know you wish I was, but your a' hole sense of fun will have to continue wishing.

You're upset enough to keep responding using profanity. LOL.

Latest patch

Updates
  • Ship respawn distance - When a ship sinks, we have significantly increased the distance at which the crews new ship will respawn. Ships will now respawn outside of visible view of the ship that sank them. This is in response to lots of player feedback which highlighted that the previous spawn distance was resulting in "griefing" behaviour and stalemates at the forts!
  • Mermaid Teleport - Pirates will now have to drop any treasure item they are carrying before being able to see the 'Teleport back to ship' option from the mermaid. We saw feedback that players were accidentally leaving treasure behind in the sea, so wanted to make it more clear that when you teleport you leave your treasure behind!
Fixed Issues
  • [PC Only] Players should no longer experience the 0x80070005 error or get stuck at 99% during installation.
  • Players are no longer able to fall through the ship geometry and into the sea if they are to repeatedly jump on the chests/barrel located mid deck
  • The voyage image on the captain’s table now displays the rank (promotion) banner in the top right corner, to keep in line with other areas of the game UI.
  • When accepting a game invitation whilst matchmaking, the game no longer enters a temporary unresponsive state.
  • Bounty Captains will no longer spawn multiple times.
Performance Improvements
  • Multiple server and client crash fixes.
  • Further improvements and optimisations for all platforms are ongoing.
There are also a few known issues. Do note the statement regarding achievements earned before March 29th:

  • Players may experience details of their pirate (such as hair colour / scars) looking different from their initial selection.
  • Achievements earned prior to March 29th are delayed, but will be awarded once our fix is applied.
  • Some players are unable to equip a second weapon. For a potential workaround see our Support Article.
  • For an update on these three issues, please read our Launch Update written by Executive Producer, Joe Neate.
  • Some players have not received their Black Dog Pack code. If you pre-ordered from the official Microsoft Store, please submit a Support ticket through Support. If you pre-ordered from another retailer, please contact them to receive your code.
  • Some players cannot see their downloadable content in game. Please read our Support Article for a potential workaround for this issue.
  • Bounty quest skeletons sometimes do not spawn or cannot be found.

That has happened to me twice.

Sea of Thieves Content Roadmap Coming Next Week

Sea-of-Thieves-11.png

While Sea of Thieves has had a strong start, one of the major complaints has been a desire to see what content is coming in the near future. As it is designed to be a games as a service title, seeing more content come (in every shape and form) is critical to the game’s continued success. Rare is definitely aware of this, as they recently posted another update around the feedback they’ve been receiving. In it, Joe Neate, Executive Producer of Rare, addressed player feedback regarding technical issues and Sea of Thieves content.

Here’s the comments regarding Sea of Thieves content:
We hear and understand that people are keen to understand what our plans are for updating Sea of Thieves, beyond the top experience fixes. We are currently in the midst of adjusting our roadmap based on feedback we have received since launch, with a ton of planning meetings continuing through this week. We plan to release a video next week updating everyone on how we plan to evolve Sea of Thieves moving forward. We totally understand that people want to see this ASAP, but the critical thing here is to have the right plan that allows Sea of Thieves to grow in the right way.

They also dive into some other issues. Technical problems are being addressed and soon players will be able to set their crews to invite-only, to avoid misuse of the brig. Any accusations of cheating are also being taken very seriously, with punishment including bans if players are verified to be cheating.

This is fairly open and honest feedback, so hopefully this helps players hold on until next week, where we’ll find out just what is next for Sea of Thieves.

With the current state of the game and Rare's plan for small content drops the content issues will not be resolved at all. Their distribution plan only works if the base game has lots of content that keeps players engaged for the long term. Releasing a legendary ship and m'transaction pets along with a few live events 6 to 8 weeks after launch is simply not enough.

Their roadmap adjustment needs to be massive. They need a huge content drop full of variety and interesting things and they needed it on launch day.

Always thought you were a douchebag, thanks for confirming.
