That’s a tad harsh I think.
it's a boring, shallow, obvious cash grab, pay to win clusterf***.
Nope. Very few MP games are pay to win...but RDR 2 is and doesn't even attempt to hide it.Isn't that pretty much all MP games now?
When they make proper changes to the economy then i'll give it another go.It’s strange. The slow pace of the game and amount of griefing that can go on just really don’t gel well I think. I’d be playing it more if any of friends we’re playing it but playing it solo isn’t really interesting.

Only a betaYeah it’s only in Beta at the moment so I’m hoping they will tune it up a bit over the next month or two.
Only a beta
There could be an economy update this week according to R*

I am not betting on this. Rockstars have a lot of white knights/jounalists that overlook all the issues/negativity with their games.Well. After the disaster that was GTA online when it launched they are rightly covering themselves this time around.
I play 5-6 hours per day for 4 days & still at chapter 2. I think I did too much side activities, like bounties and treasure hunts.
I haven’t even entered a gunsmith.
I hate the hunting though, but it seems many upgrades required hunting.
Is there an area in the menus anywhere that tells you how much time you've actually spent playing?I played for nearly 60 hours and I only got to chapter 3. I burned myself out too quickly doing side missions and hunting for upgrades. You have to do an insane amount of hunting if you want to get all of the items and outfits from the trapper.

I find myself going into the cinematic mode a lot when horseback riding and browse my phoneI'm at the beginning of Chapter 4 but haven't played the game in about a week. It has an incredibly well crafted world but geese I can’t remember another game that has made me yawn so much while playing. It’s like yeah, the game is heavily steeped in realism but that doesn’t always translate into videogame fun.
Don’t get me wrong the missions themselves are a lot of fun and I really like how shooting feels I just feel like there isn’t enough of it, way too much riding around on the horse. I’ll get back to it at some point but for now its time for this buckaroo to mosey on out into the sunset of other games.
Yet they don't give any examples of the changes. How much have they increased payouts and reduced prices?Today we are starting to implement the first set of adjustments to the game including changes specifically geared towards creating a more balanced, fun and rewarding overall experience, across all modes and missions. These include:
Of course our efforts to improve and balance the Red Dead Online Beta will continue. We are conscious of and still evaluating an assortment of further adjustments based on feedback from the community. We are currently working on fixes for some persistent bugs that are causing some players to be kicked from sessions, and we aim to have fixes for these live next week. We will also continue to review all the feedback and suggestions so please keep them coming to reddeadonline.com/feedback.
- Increasing the cash and gold payments across a number of different activities including Free Roam Missions, Free Roam Events, replays of A Land of Opportunities Missions, Showdown Series modes and more.
- Reducing the prices of most weapons in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co Catalogue and Gunsmiths. For players that have already purchased weapons at the previous prices, we will automatically deposit the difference to player balances starting today - please look for an alert message the next time you log in to the Red Dead Online Beta to notify you of this change, refunds may take up until December 10th to reach all players.
- Balancing the values of select pelts, skins and fish as well as horse reviver and pamphlets.
