[RUMOR] ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Collection’ Coming to PS4 and Xbox One

If this image posted on Reddit is to be believed then it appears that a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Collection is heading to PS4 and Xbox One running at 1080p and 60 frames a second.
The collection will include the full campaigns of the Modern Warfare trilogy, boasting remastered lighting and high-definition textures. Although the advert does state it will feature exclusive content for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare multiplayer, it’s highly unlikely the collection will include every single multiplayer map from the three games.
Nothing official has been announced by Activison at the time of writing, so please take this with a grain of salt. As of now, the rumor could go either way, but if it’s true – be ready to get your dirty mitts on this collection come November 25th.

LMAO @ just the single player games.

I already have CoD 4 on PC. That's my 'High def' version.
 
Various people claiming fake. If it's real, meh. I'd rather have a next gen WWII pack(!) considering Activision is focusing on advanced/future settings again.
 
What I love about the game industry is their ability to innovate. It is like living in a crazy different dream world every day.

most likely fake though. if this was going to be released it wouldnt be within the same month of their new game..

Please do a new WWII game. WaW came out in 2008! With every shooter out there seemingly modern/future warfare with extra sci-fi stuff like Halo, Gears, KZ, we need one good WWII game to fill the void.

I don't think it would hurt sales that much as the games are so different. I played WaW + MW2/BO. Gameplay, weapons and settings are so different.

i doubt cod will be going to back to ww2 anytime soon. maybe a newer/more niche game can fill that genre, but such an estbalished franchise like cod? there's a reason games have moved on from historic (and now modern) settings
 
If anything, COD needs to move on to even more futuristic setting so they can have perks and gadgets that wouldn't make even a little bit of sense in a "modern" setting.
 
No multiplayer huh? I don't know about that but i do enjoy the Call of Duty campaigns so i might pick this up for the right price.
 
I don't think this will do too well if it's real.
 
If it was just COD4 with full multiplayer, id be sold. MW2 is where the series started to go downhill, and MW3 basically put the nail in the coffin. I see no reason to celebrate this particular branch of the series other than COD4. Id much rather have a remake of COD 2 actually.
 
Dunno if it's fake but I'd lean that way. If I was to rebuy something like COD4:MW, it would be primarily for the multiplayer and that's really the last COD campaign I enjoyed as well. Next gen Ghosts really wasn't impressive at all so I imagine that the "uprezzing" would make it only a slight upgrade over last gen. Fond memories of COD4 MP for sure though. Just seems pretty fake though.
 
Just give me COD4 with multiplayer and i would be in heaven. Same weapons, same 3 kill streaks, same maps, with updated graphics.
 
How about throwing this in for free with Advanced Warfighter. Oh wait Activision.
 
Here is how you know it is fake. The PS4 box art is in front. Microsoft has a marketing deal with Activision for this franchise. Their Xbox One box is always in front.

Also that is the cover art for the collectors edition of MW2. They wouldn't reuse cover art.
