My body isn’t ready....I don’t think any first party in either camp would be too. IMO they’d need three games under there belt, maybe a fourth for the current gen “swan song”.
I think with these mid gen consoles we shouldn't expect much next gen.A console released in 2020 would not be a meaningful leap over the X.

MS also is saying they want there products on all platforms.
They aren't speaking about their direct competition though. But, yes. That's going to be a big move for them. Will be good to see how that angle develops.MS also is saying they want there products on all platforms.
Really, when?
I thought they wanted their services on all platforms, like the cloud for Switch games and or iOS.
I dunno i think if theirs a 2 it could compatible with Xbox X(not S)I just bought the One X and now I have to buy a new console in two years. F*** this.

‘Have to’? It’s like anything else, man. New phones every year, but you don’t ‘need’ the newest one.
If you want the best, then yes... but that’s the same with most things.
I’m hoping by then we see the full ray-tracing implementation on consoles. Oh yes.
Yep, it's just like when people were complaining about the PS4 Pro coming out 3 years after the base console, you aren't forced to buy anything it just gives people more options.
I'm going to just come out and say it.
We are now in an era where high graphical fidelity is more often than not, a detriment to a games quality. Todays best games aren't really lookers because spending time and resources on visuals comes at the cost of scale, choice, innovation, scope etc...
Nintendo figured this out ten plus years ago.
Two, we aren't going to get the leap in next gen visuals that many of you want. It doesn't matter if they release in 2019 or 2021. The jump from the XBox 360 to XBO is going to be bigger than the jump from XBO to XB2.
Hardware is no longer king people. Software now reigns supreme.
I'm going to be as clear as possible here: I'm definitely going with Xbox for hardware from here on. No way the lose the hardware war again. They were legit smashed for four years for being "under-powered." They won't do that again, I can assure you.

We may have a chance at an appreciable increase in graphics as consoles are already at or close to 4k, which means (unless the go stupid and chase 8k) we should see resources go to things outside resolution.Either they release a year earlier and have slightly weaker hardware, the same year and have comparable hardware or a year later and have slightly more powerful hardware but it won't make much of a difference because it's going to get harder and harder to have an appreciable advantage in power once the consoles start getting closer to 10TF. You won't see much of a difference on between a 10TF machine and a 12TF machine, hell the difference between the Pro and the One X is 1.8TF and while the One X almost always wins DF face offs and always runs at a higher resolution it seems that the extra memory is the biggest differentiator between the two as that's what allows some games to have higher end textures. Once they get up to those levels we'll see just about every game be 4K and with higher end textures on both of the next consoles.
