They shipped 5 million copies of Monster Hunter

Not sure why. Nobody buys Japanese games I was told.

PSVR title in the Top 10; that's unusual.

I'm surprised at that Monster Hunter World number. I didn't think it would make that big of a splash. I hope those will all sell through.

p.s. Heard Xbox got 28% of first-week sales in the UK.

I'm not. It had little competition. I imagine it will be low down next week, though.

Minecraft over 144m sold with 74m active users
The impressive stat there isn't the big sale number. Keeping over half your userbase for so long is not easy and very impressive.

Dragon Ball was 77% PS4

That is pretty sad for Xbox owners.

Can't really blame them. Xbox didn't even exist when Dragon Ball was in its prime. '90s kids appreciate greatness.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 sales miss targets, EA blames loot crate controversy

Sales of Star Wars Battlefront 2 fell short of Electronic Arts’ expectations, and the publisher is citing the furor over the game’s microtransactions as the primary explanation, reports the Wall Street Journal.

EA sold about 9 million copies of Battlefront 2 during the three-month period from October-December 2017, the third quarter of EA’s 2018 fiscal year, according to the Wall Street Journal. (The game launched almost exactly halfway through the quarter, on Nov. 17, 2017.) That was about 1 million fewer than the 10 million copies that EA had expected to sell, the newspaper reports.

Blake Jorgensen, the company’s chief financial officer, told the Wall Street Journal that the publisher’s guidance calls for sales of another 1 million to 3 million copies by the fiscal year’s conclusion at the end of March. The higher end of that estimate would still put Battlefront 2 behind its predecessor — EA shipped more than 14 million units of the original Star Wars Battlefront in its 2016 fiscal year.

9 million actually.

Only 1 million off their target. With the way news outlets lit up over the "poor sales" I expecte the game to be a flop, but nope. Was actually pretty successful.

Just saying "this is no fun," "meh" and "I find it boring" doesn't contribute anything. Sticking around doesn't make much sense, either. If you don't find it interesting, go talk about something you do find interesting.

It's crazy to think by the end of it's 5th full year on the market the PS4 could outsell what the 360 did in eight years or what the PS3 did in seven.

It's really impressive since the expertses all tolded us that mobile gaming was going to kill consoles and this gen was doomeded.
