Skype calls during multiplayer games

So what happens if you or your opponent get a Skype call in the middle of a game and take the call? Instant disconnect or do you have to wait 15 minutes while someone's grandmother talks about the weather? I'm interested in how they intend to handle this.

I don't see why not. Kinda seems to fit with the whole Windows 8 ruling the house objective they have.

Based on the ball-drops lately. I wouldn't be surprised if Skype calls could not be carried on during gameplay. The bar is lowered every day it seems. (no ad supported streaming.)

Well i'm sure you could just snap Skype and continue playing or you could completely exit out of the game and just focus on your Skype call. If its too big of a hassle your could just ignore the Skype call. lol

My only question is how do they juggle the audio? If you're playing an MP game with friends and you get a Skype call, where does your voice go when you talk?

Once you SNAP in Skype, the audio will work for the Skype call at the time. I'm not sure if your friends on MP will be able to hear your conversation however.

I think it depends on which app you are currently using. That would determine where the audio is utilized.

Hmm ok. I just envisioned it as having Skype up AND actually playing a game at the same time. So in essence I would be utilizing both apps at the same time - playing the game and talking through Skype. If that is how it works, it's interesting to think about how the audio will work.

Thats awesome. I'd be alittle worried about the lag it might cause though as the
Skype call chews up bandwidth.
