SNES Classic Thread!

I'm going to wait for the clone version again. I bought a nes mini clone with 600 games, good quality 1080p hdmi for $30 shipped.

I refuse to support Nintendo with their shortages strategy. I'd rather support some random guy.
On one hand it's good that there seems to be more stock than what the NES had, but on the other hand the stock is still absolutely trash. The tech needed to run this stuff is laughable and the fact they can't have the shelves stocked with these is pathetic. I'm not going to sit in line or play games for this bulls***.

I heard that Amazon screwed up royally? They’ve been so bad with video game preorders.
Yes, people STILL haven't gotten their's shipped. Meanwhile, the EU/UK amazon's don't seem to have any problems. I ordered a few backup units (for friend(s) who didn't want to deal with the struggle, and because i wanted to have both variations), 1 each from Amazon UK, Amazon FR, and Amazon DE. ALL of those shipped no problem and on time. I don't get why Amazon US always has these types of problems with game consoles and even video game-related things like strategy guides. (I collect the hardcover guides, and sooo many times I've had those come in late, even pre-ordering months in advance).

P.S. if you live in Italy, amazon IT still has the snes classic in stock. They don't ship this item outside of ITALY, so if you are desperate, and don't want to buy from ebay, you can use a forwarding service like "youshopitaly", but it'll cost you a bit.

Good luck on everyone's hunt!

Thank you for the information, malakas.

Welp, I got boned by the USPS or Fedex.

Ordered 2 from target. Checked tracking yesterday, said it was delivered today. I was like wtf? Checked tracking again this morning. Now states it was delivered Tuesday afternoon by USPS and left in the parcel locker for my complex.

The USPS leaves the key in your mail box in order to open the parcel locker.

No key was left in my mail box.

Don’t even know if it was actually delivered.

Not cool.

Still haven't open it up and try it out. Also thinking of adding a few games like chrono trigger on it.

Success, picked up my daughter after work today and noticed an SNES mini on the table. Her uncle works at the nearby target he had left work an hour earlier he said they had 12 when he left. I raced there and there were no classics in the case I figured they sold out but I asked and they had them behind the electronics counter.

Nice having a mini replica of the best console ever.:bang:

Yea sounds like Target really came through yesterday. I had the afternoon off but didn't think of stopping by. I'll continue to hold off a bit more.

If you want one of these and you have a target redcard, they will be up for redcard holders tomorrow.

I bought one yesterday impulse after saying I wouldn't. I like playing VR then this back to back. Makes the sense of technological progression feel drastic af, but I enjoy both.

I don't have one yet although haven't been actively looking. I don't check the subreddit much but will sometimes seem a post pop up in my Home feed that they are available. Seems to be more and more often in bigger markets they are being restocked weekly now.

got one at wal mart take that you f***ing scalpers *evil laugh*

My buddy got one on Amazon randomly a week ago. He brought it over to the new year's eve party and said the same thing. Didn't want to give the scumbag scalpers a cent.

I'll tell ya. I haven't had that much fun gaming in awhile. He modded it and put all kinds of games on it. We played some Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat.

I want one even more now. Even people at the party who haven't played games since probably the SNES was released were in awe.

Got mine on eBay modded with 200 games for $180. I feel like i overpaid a bit but i can't go without anymore and don't want to be bothered putting the games on there myself. Should be here tomorrow. Can't wait!

I've thought about modding mine. Mainly want the other two DKC games and Super Mario All-Stars. Would make it easier to just play on this versus getting out the OG SNES.

Got my snes mini today, I'm honestly a bit disappointed by the small size (I thought it would be a bit bigger), I don't get any nostalgia by looking at it in my palm. Also, what's up with the controller jacks?! The controller feels very much like the original thing though. 21 games (with a lot of omissions that should've been included) are a bit light no matter how you put it, that Nintendo didn't make official downloads for a fee is mind boggling imo. The games run great and look great.
Installed random roms on it and most ran great and the possibility to this is pretty much the reason I bought it. I've been doing snes emulation in my PC but this is a much easier and more comfortable way.

All in all I'm happy but without putting other roms on it I would not have bought this.

Also, I really was a mega drive gamer (got the original hooked up) and if I had the same nostalgic feelings towards the snes as for Sega I would prob buy the original snes instead.

Decided to pull the trigger on this. Just ordered one online from Gamestop.
