That was just the teaser for the um, teaser... Now with the titular character:

I'm not sure how I feel about the casting of Han, but if I can get past that the movie could be good.

I came to say this. I am having a lot of trouble getting past his voice. Not low enough. I am holding out hope because the cuts are so fast, but beyond not looking or sounding like Han... he doesn't seem to have captured his manner, and that is huge. Han is very specific.

I will say that visually, it looks great, and has a cool Blade Runner vibe for me.

Kind of felt the same way. I’m not get the the same vibe from this as when I saw the teaser for rogue one.

I actually like Rogue One. I don't like Jin Urso (or however you spell it) man handling storm troopers like nothing, but I did like some of the characters, and the WW2 type stuff.

Rogue one is the best of the new Star Wars movies by a wide margin.

Yeah. They did a great job of introducing new characters and actually selling them AS characters, Unlike the Joke representation in TLJ. There was at least a real sense of danger in Rogue One. In TLJ, the bad guys are so incompetent, it actually breaks immersion.

I love the Blind Monk and his Companion. They actually had distinct personalities. The Assassin Dude actually came across as scuzzy (though he was thin as a pencil), but there was some progression. Great battles all around, and a nice set up straight into episode IV. I also liked Forrest Whitaker's character. He was well done, and he had a history compelling enough to make a movie on. Same with the Monks, actually. They actually sold the emotion on offer as well. Good movie, imo.... Of course, I can't remember many of their names, but they really were only there for one movie.

Getting more a Marvel feel than Star Wars
Well, George Lucas even said that Disney's treatment of Marvel was one of the reasons that he trusted them to take over the franchise. I don't mind the "Marvel" feel, considering how very different Ant Man, Spider-Man, Thor, and Doctor Strange are, as separate entities on their own, all with different film styles... At least we aren't comparing Star Wars to DC right now.

After watching the extended trailer, I'm not a fan of the guy they picked for solo.

For some reason, I want this the be about smuggling a book that contains the location of an artifact, and while sneaking through Imperial territory, awkwardly bump into Darth Vader who takes the book. Vader opens cover, puts his autograph on the inside cover, and gives it back.

Well, at least my expectations are solo that I may be able to enjoy it.
