Solo: A Star Wars Trailer

It’s quite funny the way people think Harrison Ford is nostalgic for characters like Han Solo or Indiana Jones when he really doesn’t care what so ever.

He’s wanted Han to die since the second episode/movie. I forget the exact quote he stated but he felt it would help give Luke more of a purpose to move forward.

Trailer does absolutely nothing for me. Think I care even less than I did for Rogue One which I haven't seen yet. Haven't seen Last Jedi either and honestly, like the Marvel movies, there's just too many of these coming out now that I have really lost interest.

Star Wars movies have officially entered Marvel movie mode where I can't tell the difference between any of them.

Probably be the first Star Wars movie I don’t go see at the movie theater.....they have turned them into straight garbage....at least for the latest trilogy...would have to agree that Rogue one has been the best of the latest movies .

The Last Jedi sucked, but the one before that was great. Because it had Luke, Leia and Solo. Forever in my heart.

I’ve watched The Last Jedi a couple times since getting it. I like the movie a little more since watching it at home. It looks amazing in 4K.

As for the Solo film, I just want a fun entertaining movie and I’ll be happy. The trailers have looked decent.

Ok, anyone else watch this movie yet? I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mostly the story and organic style was great. The performances were also much better than expected. Loved the score! Good stuff! Ron Howard, I really underestimated you! This is probably his best film, IMO. The guy really gets Star Wars, IMO.

Ehrenreich may not look much like Harrison Ford, but I do think he embodied the spirit of the character. That's perhaps more important. Glover however, is really just so freaking Lando. It's very surreal.

I mean, my expectation for the movie was pretty flat, but I'm looking at Rotten Tomatoes and I'm like... OK, The Last Jedi wasn't as bad as some have been saying, but I guess I honestly don't know what to make of so-called critics anymore. Hmm, should it be a guilty pleasure to like a fun Star Wars movie? Naw, I guess I really don't care what these critics think anymore. They never loved the original trilogy anyway. Only in a revisionist way, does it seem that now. Back then, they never got many good reviews.

It'll be interesting to re-watch this movie. The only SW movies so far, that I've actually liked less each time that I've watched were all three prequels.

I didn't think it was fantastic - but it had a lot of fun moments. I liked the overall story, the plentiful action sequences, and many references.

So far, I'd say that under Disney, I like where they are going with spin-off movies over the sequels. Rogue One was pretty good (it's actually some people's favorite SW movie) and Solo is like a SW sleeper. Now that they have signed on the Logan director for the Boba Fett movie, I just have more faith in these movies than the main series. They really flesh out the universe in a way that I like.

I guess my main problem with post-OT Star Wars in the main series is the Jedi. The prequels unforgivably stripped them their mysticism away to midichlorians and made them act more like space-police in Ep II. Now it seems like we have the mysticism back, but not enough clarification of right and wrong and good or bad. That's what is still currently missing, IMO.

They are saying $114 million, but it's still early to tell.

It'll be fine. It's a Star Wars movie. It'll make money in merch and everything else, and I can see this movie having more legs over time with a cult following.

Its going to make significantly less than the last spin off all with a much bigger budget.

Its probably just a blip but should set off alarm bells for Disney
