Sony Plans Suprises @ TGS 2014

I expect a Project Mopheus demonstration. TGS will eat that up.

It is a shame it is so hard to demo to the masses. I would have loved to see it demoed in games like drive club and war thunder.

@Obscene Jester I am not being funny or negative per se with the indie comment. Just that the Gamescom conference was mostly Indie games. I expect the same here too. I would be shocked if they did not have at least one AAA Japanese centric game to announce though.

I thought Gamescon had some really awesome titles, I don't care what label you put on them

I am not a huge indie gamer. I will say I did find The Wild interesting, but do not know the specifics of the game. Is certainly one I will be looking more in to.

I thought gamescom was far less "indie" centric than it was last year, new footage of the Order and Driveclub, first gameplay of bloodborne, Until Dawn and Wild announcements. Also I have to say RIME may be considered indie but it sure doesn't look like something that would usually fall into that category.

As far as TGS I don't expect them to have a stage demo of Morpheus. Japanese audience or not it's not something you can demo properly unless the person has the visor on and that's going to be one of the challenges they have marketing it.

Is Wild really considered and indie title? it may be a new studio but it sure looks better than a lot of games the larger development studios have been making and I don't mean just the graphics but also the concept behind the whole thing.

To be honest, it is hard to tell what label some of these games go under. The Indie scene is very large and diverse in all areas, but then again, perhaps I found the Wild interesting because it is not an Indie title ? Who the fook knows. All I know is it looked interesting, and with a world the size of Europe it could be a time consumer.

It also seems to be in the same realm and ethos as no mans sky. A huge a world, no set way to play, play it however you wish. Regardless of label these games will always get my interest.

I just looked it up and it seems that studio is only 13 people so I guess that would classify as an "indie" studio but man that game sure doesn't look like one coming from such a small developer.

Exactly, it is just getting harder and harder to tell, which is actually a good thing. I think a big reason for this is the exrta support the scene gets from big publishers like Sony, Ubisoft, MS.
