Motion pictures are simple format that just required simple decoding to run.
They can easily give user means to downlaod & an app to run their digital movies offline.
The wouldn't as consumers laws are next to non exsitence regarding software/ditigal content.
The digital/software industry is totally out of control, but nothing is done by the authority we involunteerly pay to that supporse to help us in exchange for our tax money.
Nothing digital/software is "owned" these days. You just have a licence to access the content, & they can take it away without any compensation or reason.
You cannot have a business of a course, took people money then stop the course & not compensate. You cannot take gym membership moeny then tell the someone he cannot come again & not compensate with no reason, or any reason for that matters. Even he he wnet around harassing people, you still need to compensate him to get rid of him. This is to prevent cheating & abuse.

Until an intrepid insider figures out that they can say MS won't allow these users to see the videos and ignore the Sony angle and soon we'll have a gazillion stories that MS is abandoning the digital store.
Makes me wonder why gaming on PC is praised by the hardest core, who also say physical is the only way to go, and there isn't any physical for PC (for the most part).
