Spider-Man

I watched quite a bit of it directly behind the players. Not sure what TVs they were using.

GordoSan is here and I think we agreed on the visuals..?

Looks like a lot of fun though, I’ll be picking it up.
Yeah, I can't speak for how it actually plays, but I can say that the parts I saw on the giant screen looked less cinematic than what I have seen so far, somehow. That's not always a bad thing, as far as controls.

Not sure if I'll bother with this game now. It looks like it will give me severe motion sickness with all of the climbing up the sides of buildings and swinging around.

The area and line for this game are huge! I’m looking at it right now, and it looks like a ton of fun, but it’s not as impressive graphically as the videos shown so far. Or maybe it’s just the level they are playing.
That is exactly what I have been hearing as well.

One thing that I think is pretty impressive is that the pop in isn't severe, you still see a lot of cars on the street from a long distance away. Sure there is some little stuff here and there but they seem to be keeping LOD's at a nice distance.

I have to say the white spider is growing on me, I wasn't a big fan of it at first and figured I'd be changing it the second I unlocked another outfit but the more I see it the more I like it.

This was one of the main reasons I got a pro. Can’t miss out on a proper next gen Spidey game!

Hands-On: Spider-Man on PS4 Looks Great, Plays Even Better

Sony finished their E3 2018 press event by showing an extended look at the eagerly anticipated Spider-Man. We got to see more of the game’s core mechanics along with some story elements. As with other previews, this latest video only makes the wait harder to bare. Thankfully, Sony gave journalists at the event a chance to finally play the game, including yours truly. Though I only spent ten minutes with it, I can safely say the hype for Spider-Man is real. Sony and Insomniac Games are set to release a proverbial monster this fall.

Spider-Man ’s rendition of New York City is exceptionally put together. The lighting effects help bring the metropolis to life, helping you see every little nuance. Despite how richly detailed everything is, the game contains a distinct art style that helps it stand apart from other action adventure titles. It isn’t graphically on par with the likes of God of War or Detroit: Become Human, but it’s still a looker. Trust me, this is a title you’ll use to show off your 4K TV

This is my most wanted game for both consoles, purely based on how similar it looks to Sunset Overdrive. The only thing that bugs me is the swinging... There isn't enough arc to his swings. It's like he swings in a straight line forwards. They could explain it by making it elasticised web, ai guess.
And that poor Vulture. As someone who has gotten 'web' all over his face and in his eyes more times than he can count, it's not a pleasant feeling after awhile, and your eyes sting like a bitch.

I was never a big Spiderman fan (I was always more into X-Men) but the new Spiderman movie made me like him. I still have my dad's Spiderman comics from the 70's, and I'm tempted to actually read them for once seeing the badguys in this game.

Racist!

That's how I felt watching the E3 demo, actually- that the visuals took a hit. It could just be that sequence though.

I don't get where this is coming from, we saw two different times of day at this past E3 vs what was shown last year but I don't see how anything took a hit, they look different yes because last year was bright mid day and the two demos from this year were nighttime and what looked like late afternoon. They do look different yes but I don't think they look worse by any stretch.

I didn’t know Insomniac had a studio in North Carolina, I got an email from them saying they’re hiring, sounds like they’re entering crunch for this game.

It could come down to something as simple as the camera not being as tight, or the scenario involved more simple looking lighting. It's hard to say without rewatching them back to back, but that was my general impression when I watched it.

It's not a hard, objective observation, just a general impression. I haven't tried to figure out why it seemed that way to me.

Oh I know, everyone has a right to their own view as well I just don't see where anything looks like it's taken a hit.

I'm going to get this but I've got to find a new pre-order spot. Amazon doesn't have this nor RDR 2 available. Might have to *shutters* walk into a Best Buy on release day.

Spider Overdrive is almost here!
