Finally. Been itching for a new Splinter Cell for years.

More conviction less everything after that please

Edit - Chaos Theory rather. .

IF they bring back Ironside they can do anything they want.

Chaos Theory is the communities holy grail. Other acceptable answers are the original, and Pandora Tomorrow.

If this were Battlestar Galactica, we would now know you were a Cylon and we'd be sending you out the air lock.

Sorry yeah meant Theory. Was thinking of the dreadful conviction

Double Agent on the original Xbox was good. Next gen versions not so much.

Actually enjoyed Splinter Cell: Conviction including the Deniable Ops bonus maps.
I completed Conviction on Realistic difficulty and loved it. It's the most played Splinter Cell out of all of them for me.

I replayed the Deniable Ops many times. I just enjoyed how the maps were setup and trying different approaches.

I was actually never a big fan of Spies Vs. Mercs and liked these mini-games much better.

As long as it's nothing like Conviction was, I'll be happy. I don't care for voice actors or story at all, it's always been about the gameplay for me.

I love all the Splinter Cell equally. There's something in all of them I like. Mind you I was in it for the campaign not the multiplayer aspect. Storywise though my favorites are Conviction and Double Agent.

I unlocked ever achievement on Convictions. Still my least liked Splinter Cell. If it weren't for deniable ops, I would have sold it the second I beat the crappy campaign. I was so upset about what they did to Conviction that I didn't buy Blacklist, just rented it. They need to improve on Blacklist quite a bit for me to buy it again.

Also, they need to.work.on the Spy vs Mercs. They've taken away the tension and just made it a first person vs third person death match.

Metacritic:

Pandora Tomorrow 93
Chaos Theory 92
Conviction 85
Black List 82
Double Agent 80

I loved the Splinter Cell games on the OG XBox. I haven’t been able to get into them from 360 on.

Same for me. The only game I liked last gen was Blacklist. The other 2 I didn't really like.

PT was good but I'm surprised it out scores CT. CT, for me, is the series' high point. I didn't hate conviction or blacklist, but CT is the pinnacle imo...

Ha, yeah. I did that all the time in Shadow of War as well, really any game where it's possible to throw someone off a ledge, I do it...

I kept doing it in Deniable Ops dropping bodies in right next to the enemies just to listen to them freakout. Kudos to those voice actors I guess, they were funny to listen to losing their sh;t.

When a friend of mine & I were playing coop deniable ops, we would laugh so much about how insane the swearing was in the lines. You'd shoot out a light & they'd be like "SON OF A BITCH, F*CK!" It was just so OTT...

Conviction went BC on the xbox one a few weeks ago. Me and my brother played through the co-op split screen in one sitting. Had fun of course, but with all this time gone by I couldn't help but feel sad over the lack of new games in the franchise, and the stealth genre in general.

I wonder how whatever they make will look. Soul calibur 6 has also had a big gap between games, but the art and gameplay looks almost exactly like 5. That IS a fighting game so it's kind of apples and oranges. But there's huge potential for something that looks incredibly fluid, what with ubisofts work on animation. Just hope the right team handles it in that regard, because the division and ghost recon look incredibly stiff, compared to for honor or even blacklist.

anyway amazon listing boo hiss rumors me buzzkill still hope is true

Hmm.... Ubisoft Publisher Weekend Sale on Steam.

EDIT: f*** it, I just repurchased Splinter Cell: Conviction plus DLC for just about $10 on sale.

I don't know if I even want to commit to replaying the campaign, but I know I'll have a blast replaying Deniable Ops.
