Star Wars: Rogue One *CONTAINS SPOILERS*

Well stated Team56th.

Your post made me think about how cool it would be for someone to tackle a Knights of the Old Republic themed movie offshoot. Could easily be make into its own trilogy considering the depth and storylines available.
After thinking about it a bit, they well need another trilogy. That era could really be special enough, imo.

So many fans were worried about the wiping of the old extended universe, but really, what it does is leave the door completely open to retell the stories however anyone wants, keeping the best parts or even all parts, as canon.

Saw it yet again yesterday, I think it may go down as my favorite Star Wars movie.
The nostalgic child in me (was 6 when the movie came out in 1977) loves the original, but the adult in me loves Rogue One. It had it's flaws (so did the originals), but it had much better character development (I know some think it didn't have any, I could break down how it was better indeed), better understanding of the struggles, more realistic characters, etc.

Have to agree whole heartedly. I've been twice now and have the DVD pre ordered. I think it's my all time favourite one in he series.

I thought they did a great job on this I loved it. It really felt like the originals even though letting us see behind the scenes. The new characters were fine and the cameos are great. That last Vader scene gave me the chills it was awesome. Could be the most badass scene from any Star Wars movie. I wish they would do a stand alone Vader film show what he does after the end ROTS and while James Earl Jones is still alive to voice.

After this was over all I could think was lol @ Lucas. I still enjoy watching ANH but his best film was not even directed by him (ESB). He dropped the ball on the prequels and sucks he did not get it right till ROTS. Disney has been knocking it out the park. The Star Wars universe is in good hands.

I really think Ep VIII is going to be a very drastic visual change, which is much needed, as it was in Empire. It really has the potential to knock it out of the park!

...Still worried about the director choice for Ep IX, though.
