Official Thread Stranger Things - Final Season

so......
what was the deal with the box of food in the forest at the end? Is that suggesting that 11 went into the upside down with the monster? How does the sheriff know?

The Eggos are "bait" for Elle, like blood was the bait for the upside down monster. Only I don't think the Sheriff is trying to catch her, just wanting to know she is still alive. I'm pretty sure the kids, told the Sheriff what happened in the school (and Nancy and Jonathan about what happened in the woods) their logical deduction was that Elle is now in the upside down. Seeing as how the Monster can rip a tear between dimensions, maybe Elle could too, she did say that she created the tear that's in the lab.

yeah i forgot about the eggos being her favorite. So what do you make of the thing that Will sits out at the end? Just some nasty alien flem or something else? I wonder if the new season will see him turning into a new monster

I think it's another hatchling. Maybe something that can pose as a human this time since it laid the egg in him. Just guesses.

Like Grimmy said, I think it's some sort of hatchling or "seed" of some sort. When they found Will in the upside down it looked like he was in some sort of nesting area (similar to where the colonist on LV426 are cocooned, with the Alien embryos implanted in them in Aliens) with some sort of implanter in his mouth. Maybe since Will returned to our dimension the thing didn't fully hatch or whatever and he ended up coughing it up, or maybe it did and that's why he had that flash of the upside down, calling him "home"

Finally watched the show this past week and loved it, my formative years were spent in the 80's so it brought back a lot of memories :) it's also just a really well done show. The acting, writing and music all came together perfectly IMO and I'm really looking forward to season 2.

If you guys had to pick a favorite character who would you go with? while I really liked them all I think I'd have to go with the Police chief.

I joined the party to this weekend and got through Season 1 in two evenings. There are some great side stories and the characters are all very well developed. Having it set in 1983 is icing on the cake, right after I graduated from high school and a time that's very memorable for me. My younger brother and his friends spent hours doing D&D stories which was really big in parts of Texas where it all started.

Really hope they can keep the cast together for season 2 it was a really great blend of actors.

Hop is the man. He also is the most complex. With so many open plot lines involving his character its easy to see the writers springboard into a 2nd season.

Add me to the love fest.

The kids were awesome. Maybe some future stars here.

I thought when Nancy got caught in the tree that Jonathan was going to be suspected of murdering the whole lot

So did I and I'm glad they didn't go that route, I hate being able to predict what's going to happen.

I hope season 2 doesn't get thirsty.

A big part of the allure was the mystery. The only way to keep that going is to make it more over the top...

The second season of the hit series will launch Oct. 27 on Netflix.

Stranger Things is inching closer to a return.

On Tuesday, Netflix announced that season two of the hit series will launch Oct. 27. Additionally, Netflix released a new teaser for season two which promises that "1984 only gets stranger."

The release date and tagline are only fitting considering that, as previously revealed, the second season will take place around Halloween in 1984.

The season's description reads: "It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived."

New castmembers this season include Paul Reiser, Sean Astin, Will Chase and Brett Gelman.

Check out the new art and teaser for season two below.
