The 2016/2017 NBA Season Thread

How's that crow taste? Don't ever doubt the heart of a Boston sports team.

Not like we're winning the series without IT though. No Lowry for the Raptors last series. Cavs cakewalk to another Finals.

I don't recall a #1 seed losing all 3 games at home by an average 30 pts so the Celtics gots to be the worst #1 seed ever in NBA history. Deal with it. In fact, I did a quick google search just to make sure I'm not the only one who think this...lol.

You just worry about all the aspirin you gonna need when the Lakers draft Lonzo and his dad.

Saw that coming. Warriors in 5.

Welcome back to the 60's. This team is going to a lot of Finals.

Especially if all those betas on that team take paycuts to stay together. I've never seen such a group of beta pro athletes that will win so many titles.

Cmon Cavs. At least win 2 games for me. I don't want the Warriors breaking the Lakers playoff record lol.

It's all over but the crying. This is what happens when people hate on a historical team. They get better and they go alpha.

I don't think the word "alpha" can be applied to this Warriors team....I mean come on...

Kevin Durant might be the biggest beta in the game today.

That coming from a Lebron fan is hilarious. I like Lebron, i've always defended him but come on. When you put a super team together and claim you're going to win 8 straight championships that's as bad as it gets. Then you leave for another super team when the going gets tough? If he leaves Cleveland again he'll go down as a total fraud.

Durant got tired of losing. So he went to a better team, just like any smart superstar player would instead of letting their career rot away. Warriors built that team through the draft and added the missing puzzle piece. Not sure what there's even to get upset about.

It's amazing James only has 3 championships. The guy is a beast. No doubt, he acts like a baby sometimes, but still a beast.

If teams surrounded him with better players, he could have double the championships by now.

Curry/Durant/Thompson >>> James/Irving/Love

Not sure how much more help they can get Lebron. Outside of his early years in Cleveland he's had some of the most stacked teams ever. He should definitely have at least one more championship. The one that he choked away the first year in Miami to Dallas. He hand picked his squad twice now, so he has nobody to blame. Lebron's the coach, Lue is just a puppet. That's why he had Blatt fired.

Good to see Durant is in attack mode and not riding Curry/Thompson/Green's coattails to a ring. He's the reason why that team has won 14 in a row. The best offensive talent the league has ever seen. You can bet if there's a game winning shot to take, Durant is taking it. Unlike Lebron who will rely on Allen or Irving to win the big game.

Good to see Durant on his way to a ring. He deserves one.

James' first stint on Cleveland he had nobody to play with for all 6-7 years. Since then, his teams have some all-star teammates, but not the depth like the other teams he ran into.

Miami and his second run with the Cavs are similar. A core nucleus of 3 players and the rest are bench quality.

Warriors are better but Cavs have a very good team. Lebron not having enough help is just nonsense. With the Cavs the first time? Sure but since? Nope.

Lol, he's assembled some of the best teams in league history. The best shooters. Allen, Korver, DWill was a superstar PG at one time. They got Bogut who got injured who would have made a difference. Who was also injured last year for GS when the Cavs beat Warriors.

If the Spurs don't miss free throws and Ray Allen doesn't hit one of the most clutch shots in NBA history Lebron's Finals record is 2-5 right now, going on 2-6 if he loses this Finals. All things considered, not as bad as it could be.

A lot of what ifs in this trilogy but i'd say it's been even for the most part and Cavs are lucky they won last year. It was done if Green didn't get suspended and Bogut didn't get injured.

Remember when Lue said the Celtics were harder to defend

I bet Lebron chewed him out after he said that. Like the Warriors really needed more motivation. All the 3-1 trolling from the year before. Tombstone cookies. It's been a great rivalry, even though it's been mostly one sided.

Fact is, if you're chasing ghosts like Lebron says, whatever that means. Trying to be on Jordan's level. You don't get blown out by 20 points in a Finals game, let alone multiple Finals games. He had a triple double tonight but we should expect more from him. Maybe he's sick again?

I will say, just like 2015 - If he somehow wins this Finals then i'll put him on Jordan's level. No questions asked. I don't care if it's apparent that the Warriors blew it. You beat that team, that's a feat.

I'm not a basketball fan... haven;t really followed it since the Celtics/Lakers in the 80s, but have to say the Cavs/Warriors rivalry is awesome to watch. I also like 3-pt bombings which both teams launch at will.

Hoping these two teams keep meeting in the finals in the future.

Oh don't worry. It will be Warriors vs Cavs or whatever super team Lebron goes to next for the next 3 years. I think he's going to the Spurs with CP3 and Melo if they don't win this year though. Then again, probably not. He wants to stay in the East so it's a cakewalk to the Finals. If i was him i'd take my chances in the Western Conference. Hurts less if you get bounced in the conference finals instead.
