The 2017 NFL Season Thread

Once Atlanta went up 28-3 I thought...no way. No way can New England come back from this. If you watched the "odds of winning" calculator (dubious as it may be) it was over 99% in favor of Atlanta a large portion of the third and fourth quarters.

Having gone through this for two years with my Mom's boyfriend of 40 years this really hit home. He ended up passing away this past March of colon cancer which was probably for the best. I'm also a big fan of Marty's, he was the best coach the Chargers have had in decades and was part of the reason I was such a big fan of theirs for so long.

I'm a Cowboys fan and I've always respected Schottenheimer. Seemed like he always got the best out of his players. A Larry Brown type of coach in the NFL. Its a shame what he's going through and I wish him the best.

Yeah he could take an average team and make them very good, he never got his SB but I think that's more on him rarely having complete teams and simply taking what would usually be average teams further than anyone expected along with some bad luck. He did get a championship in the UFL, he even paid some of the players out of his own pocket. It's a shame he wasn't put into the HOF before this happened, he belongs there.

Hats off to Watson that kid went beast mode today.

The last thing I need is to have the Texans have a solution to their perpetual QB problems, especially knowing the Jags still are no closer to that now than any time in the past ten years. So I guess just load up more defense... hello, Marcell Dareus! It may be time to simply hope for Dilfer mode from Bortles - his job is just to put our defense in scoring position.

Tom Savage is real bad. If only there was a solid free agent QB they could sign.

What f***ing BS! That was a catch and TD by Jesse James! Shocking Pats get the call. Then Ben throws a stupid as interception.

Yeah the refs were horrible yesterday.

That should have been a TD catch. I’m a Cowboys fan and I thought that was not a first down.

This weekend of games should be better. If only the refs can get out of their own way.

Congrats to the Jags. What a pathetic showing by the Steelers Defense.
